Kharga is situated to the South of Farafra and 550 kilometers away from Cairo. It is the governorate of Wadi Al Gadeed and Egypt's southernmost oasis. Kharga Oasis literally means the outer oasis is famous for its dry weather all year long and for its natural mineral water wells. Kharga hosts a number of interesting monuments including the Temple of Hibis, Qaser Al Zayan, Qaser Al Ghweita and the temple of Dush. Kharga also hosts the beautiful Christian necropolis of Al Bagawat.
