Giza Pyramids Complex

Many iconic attractions representing the fabled image of the ancient Egyptians were first created at the Giza Pyramids complex, including:

The Great Pyramid

The Giza Pyramid of Pharaoh Khufu was one of the final seven marvels of the ancient world when it was built around 2600 BC. Its vizier Hemiunu created magnificent designs, which include the king’s chamber, the great hall, and many others. It is the tallest and largest building in the world, standing 147 meters (481 feet) tall and made of 3.2 million limestone stones weighing a total of 6 million tonnes.

The Great Sphinx

From a single piece of limestone, the legendary Sphinx of Pharaoh Khafre (2558–2532 BC) was carved about 2500 BC. It is a timeless work of art and is regarded as one of the biggest and oldest sculptures ever created by humans. The fabled Steele of Thutmose IV, which was added about 1404 BC, is placed before the sphinx.

The Valley Temple

The mummification method was developed in the valley Temple of Pharaoh Khafre. Numerous granite columns, sculptures, and alabaster flooring may be seen within the valley.

The whole family will have lunch at a fantastic restaurant with a Nile and Pyramids view before traveling with their tour guide to see:

Step Pyramid of Saqqara

Imhotep, a famous architect, began the Step Pyramid of Saqqara as a representation of a period in building. It features six mastaba steps that were built between 2670 BC and 2650 BC to serve as Pharaoh Djoser’s funeral complex.

City of Memphis

Under the heavenly protection of Ptah of craftsmanship, King Narmer founded Memphis city, the earliest known capital of Egypt, around 2925 BC. It is home to several magnificent sculptures and treasures from the three ancient Egyptian dynasties.

To spend the night at their hotel in Cairo, the Family will return to it.

High Dam at Aswan

The High Dam of Aswan is a contemporary landmark that was built in the 1960s and 1970s to provide power for the emerging industrial age, manage the yearly flood, and save water in the man-made Lake Nasser.

The Unfinished Obelisk

To stand at Karnak Temple and reach the sky, the incomplete Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC) was cut into the bedrock. With a height of 42 meters and a total weight of 1200 tonnes, it is known as an illustration of Egyptian stone artistry.

Temple of Philae

Isis, the goddess of motherhood, had the mythological Philae Temple built for her to preserve her tale. It was the last temple built in the Ptolemaic era’s 7th century BC, providing some insight into the religious practices and myths of the ancient Egyptians.

The whole family will check in to their 5-star Nile cruise before enjoying lunch, supper, and an overnight stay on board.

  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

After lunch and supper, the whole family will stay overnight aboard the Nile Cruise as they continue their family trip.

Temple of Edfu

In honor of the sky falcon deity Horus, who represents protection and triumph, the Edfu Temple was constructed between 237 and 57 BC. It is a real emblem of magnificence and might. The temple, one of the last ones built during the Ptolemaic Period, is famed for its amazing sculptures and decorations depicting his fabled conflict with his wicked uncle Seth.

The complete family will dine, stay the night, and enjoy lunch and supper on board.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Day 6: Examine the Luxor Miracles: Following breakfast on the Nile Cruise, the family’s Egypt holiday will continue as they check out and set out with their tour guide to see the marvels of Luxor.

The Kings’ Valley

There are 63 rock-cut tombs in the Valley of the Kings, which date from the sixth to the eleventh centuries BC. The whole Ramses dynasty, Hatshepsut, Seti I, and many more kings have their enchantingly painted apartments in this international treasure.

Temple of Hatshepsut

The holiest of holies. To commemorate her history, Hatshepsut Temple was carved into the Deir el-Bahari cliffs in 1479 BC over 15 years. It has several amazing Amun sculptures as well as temples to Hathor, Anubis, and Amun.

Everyone in the family will have lunch at a fantastic local restaurant before continuing their tour of Egypt with their tour guide.

Memnon’s Colossi

The Colossi of Memnon, modeled after the visage of Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1386–1350 BC), was carved from quartzite in 27 BC to contain various embellishments and sculptures on his throne devoted to his family.

Temple of Karnak

Between the Middle Kingdom (2000–1700 BCE) and the Ptolemaic Kingdom (305–30 BCE), a period of 1700 years, the complex of the Karnak Temples was built, becoming to become the largest religious center in recorded history. Amun, Khunso, and Mut, among other members of the Theban triad, are the principal subjects of it. The most renowned kings and queens’ mummies may all be discovered in their hall.

Market in Khan El Khalili

What People Say About Us
5/5

Thank you Egypt Fun Tours for a most memorable trip. I admit I didn’t do any of the planning (it was all done by my boyfriend) but as you can read in the reviews below Hani (the owner of Egypt Fun Tours) is superbly organized and accommodating with scheduling.

My boyfriend and I, and our dearest mutual friend, booked the 7Days-6Nights tour. In short time, we visited Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor sailing down the down the Nile, pit stopping to see key sites at these location – and so much more!!! We got to know the ancient and modern egypt in depth thanks to Hani’s impressive knowledge. He also enlightened us on the people and their beliefs and went as far as showing us what a typical life looks like. I cannot express the level of personalized service Hani offered us. He was flexible to adapt to our requirements and added sites to our schedule that was not part of the tour simply to ensure we were 100% satisfied with our experience in Egypt.

I went to Egypt practically blind-folded, not knowing what to expect, especially considering the time we had decided to go (December 2020 – we were the first group that Hani met with after months of having to put his tour agency on hold considering the pandemic) yet he managed to surpass all of our expectations. I felt so incredibly lucky for us to have stumbled on Hani. I would recommend Egypt Fun Tours to anyone and everyone. It was truly, HANDS DOWN, the best cultural experience I’ve ever had. You’ll be in the best of hands.

Hamada was incredible! So knowledgeable and kind. He had information about every item, street corner, and relic we looked at. Any questions we had, he had answers! He even made sure to give us tips while walking through the crowds so that’s we would feel more comfortable when being approached by vendors. Oh and the food?! He took us to the best places! Delicious food!! We tried Egyptian fried chicken, falafel for the first time, the best shawarma in the city (we love food). We even got to meet his beautiful wife and children and try some “French” Egyptian coffee in their home! Truly made friends for life!! We’ve promised to host him and the family when they travel to America for the first time! Such an incredible experience, and Hamada (and family) made it that much more memorable and amazing!

Excellent trip to historic sites with no one else around. We came to see Egypt while most places still had COVID19 fears. The staff at Egypt Fun Tours were professional, safe, and great to deal with. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and entertaining. I feel like I just got a a year of Egyptology in the last week and we had all the sites to ourselves due to COVID19. While people are shutting down and staying home you should feel safe to come explore with Egypt Fun Tours and have the place to yourself.
