The Great Pyramid
To reach the skies, King Khufu and his wife Queen needed an eternal resting place, therefore in 2600 BC, the Grand Pyramid of Khufu was built. The Great Pyramid of Giza, which is 147 meters (481 feet) tall and has a sophisticated interior with several passages and chambers, was constructed over 20 years using 2.3 million limestone stones weighing a combined 5.7 million tonnes.
The Great Sphinx
The body of a lion and the face of Khafre was carved into the heavenly man-made Statue of the Sphinx so that it may stand as a sacred guard guarding the whole complex.

When the sun shines on the faces of Ra Horakhty, Amun, Ptah, and the Great Ramsess herself on the 22nd of October and the 2nd of February each year, the temple is known to celebrate the yearly sun festival. Queen Nefertari, who is just 100 meters distant from the second temple, is there to revere the goddess Hathor and preserve Ramsess’s love for his wife.

The Valley of the Kings, located underground in the center of a holy hill and containing 63 tombs belonging to royal figures of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties, including Tutankhamun, Seti I, and many others, dates from 1550 BC to 1070 BC.
