Detailed itinerary of the 9 Day Easter Holiday in Ancient Egypt
Day 1: Welcome to the Land of Pharaohs: When you arrive at Cairo International Airport, our representative will greet you and assist you in completing your passport requirements before transporting you to a 5* hotel in Cairo to check in. In the evening, your tour guide will join you on a dinner cruise with a view of the Nile before returning to the hotel for the night.
Day 2: The Grandeur of Memphis: Breakfast at your accommodation, then join your tour guide and begin your journey of the 9-day Egypt Easter break by gazing at one of the world’s seven wonders:
Pyramids of Giza Complex
Discover the amazing ancient Egyptian civilization on the Giza plateau, snap some historical images, release your soul, and immerse yourself in the splendor and might of the Egyptian pharaohs. The complex consists of three major pyramids, six small pyramids, the Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. The structure was built during the 4th dynasty, 2400 years ago.
The Gigantic Pyramid
It is the oldest and biggest of the three Giza plateau pyramids, and the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World to have survived intact. King Khufu owns the Pyramid. The enormous pyramid is 147 meters tall, was erected with 2,300,000 stones, and took twenty years to complete. It is considered to be one of the finest accomplishments of the ancient Egyptians.
Sphinx of Giza
The Sphinx, which belonged to King Chephren, is the world’s biggest statue, towering 73 meters long, 19 meters broad, and 20 meters tall. It is the world’s oldest monumental sculpture. It was created to frighten the enemy and safeguard the three Pyramids, as the ancient Egyptians believed.
Valley Temple
The only extant granite funerary temple used by the Ancient Egyptians for mummification was on the Giza plateau.

Step Pyramid of Saqqara

Kom El Shoqafa’s Catacombs
A family tomb at a Roman burial site illustrates the fusion of Egyptian and Roman art and construction. Visit the tomb and Caracalla Hall by going underneath.

An 82-foot-tall (25-meter) granite column dedicated to Emperor Diocletian, who liberated the besieged city and fed its famished citizens.
Citadel of Qaitbay
A stronghold on the Mediterranean coast was built in the 15th century. Sultan Al-Ashraf Qa’id Bay founded it in 1477 AD. The Qaitbay Citadel and Pharos Island are both located in the same area.

Day 4: Discover the Beauty of Aswan Attractions: Enjoy your breakfast and check out of the hotel in the morning, after which we will drive you to Cairo airport for your journey to Aswan. High Dam of Aswan
It was erected over the Nile River at Aswan between 1960 and 1970, and it has had a profound impact on Egypt’s economy and culture.
The Unfinished Obelisk
It was ordered by Queen Hatshepsut (1508 1458 BC) to accompany the Lateran Obelisk (which was originally at Karnak) and afterward moved to the Lateran Palace in Rome as the biggest obelisk in ancient times.
Temple of Philae
Philae Temple is devoted to Isis, the goddess of beauty and love. As part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign initiative, the temple complex was demolished and transported to neighboring Agilkia Island, safeguarding it and other monuments before the Aswan High Dam was completed in 1970.

Edfu Temple is dedicated to Horus, the Egyptian god. The Edfu Temple is Egypt’s best-preserved Greco-Roman temple, with a play depicting Horus’ victory over the wicked deity Seth painted on its walls.
After lunch, set sail towards Luxor, arriving late at night and spending the night on board.

The Kings’ Valley
It is the ultimate resting place of Egypt’s monarchs from the 18th to the 20th dynasties, and it is home to tombs such as those of Ramses II and Tutankhamen. The tombs were well-stocked with everything a monarch may want in the afterlife. The majority of the interior décor of the tombs has been beautifully conserved. During your journey to Egypt, you must go to the Valley of the Kings.
Hatshepsut Temple Queen Hatshepsut’s temple is one of Ancient Egypt’s most gorgeous and well-preserved temples. The temple was constructed on three levels, with two large ramps connecting the floors in the center.
Memnon’s Colossi
The sole remnants of a full funerary temple are two huge stone sculptures of King Amenhotep III. The figures are fashioned from quartzite sandstone blocks found in Cairo and transported 700 kilometers to Luxor.

The Egyptian Museum
The Egyptian Museum has a unique 5,000-year-old art collection. Over 250,000 real objects are on display, including an exhibit devoted to Tutankhamun’s riches, gold, and jewels, which were kept safe for over 3,500 years in his tomb.

Mosque of Amr Ibn Al Aas
The Amr Ibn Alas Mosque, which dates back to 642 A.D., is the oldest mosque not only in Egypt but also in Africa. Nothing of the original structure survives due to continuous restoration throughout the years.
The Hanging Church
It is one of Egypt’s earliest churches, dating back to the third century AD. Because it was erected above Babylon Fortress, the church was given the moniker Hanging Church.
Synagogue of Ben Ezra
The oldest surviving synagogue in Egypt, dates from the 9th century and is located in a former church from the 4th century. The Copts were obliged to sell to pay taxes, and Ben Ezra purchased the land. The fabled Geniza Documents were unearthed in the basement of the synagogue.
