Tour Itinerary

Detailed itinerary of the 7 Days Deluxe Tour of Cairo and Upper Egypt

Day 1: Arrival in the Land of the Pharaohs, Egypt: When you arrive at the Cairo airport, an “Egypt Fun Tours” representative will help you with the passport check procedures and will welcome you after identifying your bags. You will be taken in a private, air-conditioned minivan from the airport to a five-star hotel in Cairo where you may check-in. Start your journey with a dinner cruise with your tour guide in the evening, then unwind while watching a vibrant belly dancing performance with a folklore band that includes the iconic Tannoura spin in keeping with Egypt’s whirling dervishes’ tradition. Afterward, head back to your hotel for the night.

Day 2: Visit the Egyptian Museum and the Giza Pyramids: Check out of the hotel after breakfast and join your private Egyptologist tour guide to explore the most well-known Cairo tourist spots, including:

Giza Pyramids Complex

The complex also comprises six smaller pyramids, the enormous sphinx, and the Valley Temple in addition to the three major pyramids, which belong to Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus. The structure is 2400 years old, from the 4th dynasty.

The Great Pyramid

The oldest and biggest of the three pyramids on the Giza Plateau, and the only one to have survived among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, is the Great Pyramid, which belonged to King Khufu. The Great Pyramid is 147 meters high, was erected over 20 years, and 2,300,000 stones were utilized in its construction.

The Great Sphinx

The Great Sphinx, which is 73 meters long, 19 meters broad, and 20 meters tall, is the biggest statue on the whole globe. The monument has the earliest known sculpture in it.

The Valley Temple

The only one still standing on the Giza plateau is an ancient Egyptian mummification temple made of granite.

Proceed to a neighborhood eatery in Cairo for lunch. Then, we’ll go over to see:

The Egyptian Museum

A unique collection of artwork from the last 5000 years is on display at the Egyptian Museum. The exhibition features more than 250,000 authentic objects from ancient Egypt, including a display of the gold, jewels, and treasures that King Tutankhamun collected and kept in his tomb for more than 3,500 years.

We finally drop you off at the Cairo airport so you can travel to Luxor and settle into a 5-star hotel for the night.

Day 3: Visit the Luxor Sights: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before meeting your Egyptologist tour guide to continue your holiday and explore the most well-known Luxor tourist sites, beginning by:

The Kings’ Valley

King Ramses II and King Tutankhamun are among the monarchs of Egypt’s 18th to 20th dynasties whose tombs may be seen there. The tombs were fully furnished with everything a monarch may want in the afterlife in terms of material things. The majority of the tomb decorations are still in good condition.

Temple of Hatshepsut

One of the most exquisite and well-preserved of all the temples in Ancient Egypt is the Hatshepsut Temple. The temple was constructed on three levels, connected by two large ramps in the middle.

Memnon’s Colossi

Only two enormous stone sculptures of King Amenhotep III survive in a funerary temple that was once completely constructed. The sculptures are constructed from quartzite sandstone stones that were originally found in Cairo and transported 700 km to Luxor.

Following a boat ride on the Nile River, your tour will take you to an island for lunch before visiting:

Temple of Karnak

The Karnak temple is the most spectacular landmark in Egypt. It is the biggest complex of temples ever constructed by humans. It stands for the culmination of the work of countless pharaohs and ancient architects. Three major temples make up the Temple of Karnak, which is spread over 247 acres of land.

After that, return to the Luxor hotel for the night.

Day 4: Visit the temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo: Have breakfast in the morning, check out of the hotel, and then join your private Egyptologist tour guide for a transfer in a private air-conditioned vehicle to the following locations:

Temple in Edfu

Honoring the god Horus. The Edfu Temple is the most well-preserved Greco-Roman structure in all of Egypt, and a “Play” depicting Horus’ victory over the malevolent deity Seth is painted on its walls.

Temple of Kom Ombo

Temple in Kom Ombo with a view of the Nile. This temple is split into two separate temples, each having its entrance, hypostyle Hall, and sanctuaries.

After eating lunch, take your air-conditioned vehicle to Aswan where you will check into a five-star hotel and spend the night.

Day 5: Visit Abu Simbel’s Two Temples: Morning breakfast boxes followed by a private air-conditioned vehicle journey to Abu Simbel where you will meet your private tour guide to learn:

Abu Simbel Temples

The two temples of Abu Simbel are regarded as the pinnacles of ancient Egypt because of their distinctive architecture. Both of the Temples were erected during the time of King Ramses II about 1200 B.C., and both are rock-cut constructions. King Ramses II is honored in one temple, while his loving wife Queen Nefertari is honored in another. Both temples are beautifully decorated with sculptures and artwork. It is an iconic location with hand-carved pillars, murals, carvings, sculptures, and much more.

Return to your hotel in Aswan to eat lunch and spend the night.

Day 6: Visit the Attractions in Aswan: After having breakfast at the hotel, you check out and go on a tour of Aswan’s tourist sights with an Egyptologist.

The High Dam

It was erected at Aswan across the Nile between 1960 and 1970, and its construction had a big impact on Egypt’s economy and culture.

The Unfinished Obelisk

the biggest obelisk from antiquity. It was acquired by the Lateran Palace in Rome when Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC) commissioned it to accompany the Karnak Obelisk (which was originally at Karnak).

Temple of Philae

Temple at Philae to the goddess Isis of Love and Beauty. As part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign initiative, the temple complex was disassembled and moved to the adjacent island of Agilkia Island to safeguard it and other sites before the Aswan High Dam was finished in 1970.

After eating your lunch, go back to Aswan to catch your flight to Cairo, where you may check into a 5-star hotel for the night.

Day 7: The conclusion of the 7 Days Deluxe Tour of Cairo and Upper Egypt: After breakfast at the hotel, the “Egypt Fun Tours” representative will drive you to the airport and help you with the last departure procedures there to bring your journey to Egypt to a close.

What People Say About Us
5/5

Thank you Egypt Fun Tours for a most memorable trip. I admit I didn’t do any of the planning (it was all done by my boyfriend) but as you can read in the reviews below Hani (the owner of Egypt Fun Tours) is superbly organized and accommodating with scheduling.

My boyfriend and I, and our dearest mutual friend, booked the 7Days-6Nights tour. In short time, we visited Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor sailing down the down the Nile, pit stopping to see key sites at these location – and so much more!!! We got to know the ancient and modern egypt in depth thanks to Hani’s impressive knowledge. He also enlightened us on the people and their beliefs and went as far as showing us what a typical life looks like. I cannot express the level of personalized service Hani offered us. He was flexible to adapt to our requirements and added sites to our schedule that was not part of the tour simply to ensure we were 100% satisfied with our experience in Egypt.

I went to Egypt practically blind-folded, not knowing what to expect, especially considering the time we had decided to go (December 2020 – we were the first group that Hani met with after months of having to put his tour agency on hold considering the pandemic) yet he managed to surpass all of our expectations. I felt so incredibly lucky for us to have stumbled on Hani. I would recommend Egypt Fun Tours to anyone and everyone. It was truly, HANDS DOWN, the best cultural experience I’ve ever had. You’ll be in the best of hands.

Nille cruise,Luxor and Aswan where amazing sites to see, specially when you have with you the best tour guide in Egypt .Hamada was absolutely fantastic, lots of information and some of them not spoken by others. This guy was not only a simple tour guide for us, he became a good friend also. Was a one in lifetime experience. Highly recommend Fun Tours. Really a great experience.

Hamada was incredible! So knowledgeable and kind. He had information about every item, street corner, and relic we looked at. Any questions we had, he had answers! He even made sure to give us tips while walking through the crowds so that’s we would feel more comfortable when being approached by vendors. Oh and the food?! He took us to the best places! Delicious food!! We tried Egyptian fried chicken, falafel for the first time, the best shawarma in the city (we love food). We even got to meet his beautiful wife and children and try some “French” Egyptian coffee in their home! Truly made friends for life!! We’ve promised to host him and the family when they travel to America for the first time! Such an incredible experience, and Hamada (and family) made it that much more memorable and amazing!

Excellent trip to historic sites with no one else around. We came to see Egypt while most places still had COVID19 fears. The staff at Egypt Fun Tours were professional, safe, and great to deal with. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and entertaining. I feel like I just got a a year of Egyptology in the last week and we had all the sites to ourselves due to COVID19. While people are shutting down and staying home you should feel safe to come explore with Egypt Fun Tours and have the place to yourself.
