Cruise Itinerary

Day 1: Visit Luxor East Bank Landmarks: You will meet your tour guide in the morning, and together you will embark on a 7-night cruise up the Nile to see the ancient sites on the East Bank of Luxor, including:

Temple of Karnak: The Karnak Temple is the most spectacular landmark in Egypt. It is the biggest temple complex ever constructed by humans and marks the culmination of the labors of numerous pharaohs and generations of ancient builders. On a 247-acre plot of ground, the temple of Karnak is composed of three major structures, many smaller enclosed structures, and several outside structures.

After that, board your 5-star Nile cruise for lunch and some relaxation. We will take you up in the evening to enjoy:

Temple of Luxor: The most significant event, the festival of Opet, was centered around the Luxor Temple. The temple aimed to serve as a venue for the festival’s ceremonies, and it was mostly built by Amenhotep III and Rameses II. The purpose of the event was to bring the ruler’s divine and human halves closer together.

Enjoy the temple, then go back to the ship to spend the night. L.D. includes meals.

Day 2: Free on the Nile Cruise: The second day will be free for you to take advantage of the voyage as you go to Edfu. B.L.D. All Meals Included

Day 3: Visit Edfu Temple, then sail to Kom Ombo: Your own Egyptologist will accompany you in a horse-drawn carriage in the morning to see:

Temple in Edfu: The Edfu Temple is regarded as the best-preserved Greco-Roman structure in all of Egypt, and a “Play” depicting Horus’ victory over the malevolent deity Seth is painted on its walls.

In the evening, Aswan (late-night arrival).

B.L.D. All Meals Included.

Day 4: Visit the Best Aswan Landmarks: Enjoy your breakfast before continuing to Aswan Highlights for the last night of your seven-night Nile cruise, where you will see:

High Dam at Aswan: At Aswan, a bridge across the Nile was constructed. Between 1960 and 1970, the High Dam was built, and its impact on Egypt’s economy and culture has been profound.

The Unfinished Obelisk: The biggest ancient obelisk that is known. The Lateran Obelisk, which was initially at Karnak and was subsequently transported to the Lateran Palace in Rome, was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut (1508 1458 BC), probably as a compliment.

Temple of Philae: Temple at Philae to the goddess Isis of Love and Beauty. As part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign initiative, the temple complex was disassembled and moved to the adjacent island of Agilkia Island to safeguard it and other sites before the Aswan High Dam was finished in 1970.

A night spent at sea with all meals included (B.L.D).

Day 5: Private Car Tour to the Abu Simbel Temples: Get your breakfast boxes early in the day, then meet your private tour guide for a private guided tour of the Abu Simbel temples:

Abu Simbel Temples: The two temples of Abu Simbel are regarded as the pinnacles of ancient Egypt because of their distinctive architecture. Both of the Temples were erected during the time of King Ramses II about 1200 B.C., and both are rock-cut constructions. King Ramses II is honored in one temple, while his loving wife Queen Nefertari is honored in another. Both temples are beautifully decorated with sculptures and artwork. This temple is a must-see since it has hand-carved pillars, wall paintings, sculptures, statues, and much more.

return to your cruise ship. Aswan overnight stay.

B.L.D. All Meals Included

Day 6: Return by boat to Kom Ombo Temple: While eating breakfast aboard the boat, set sail towards Kom Ombo in the morning. Join your tour guide after reaching Kom Ombo to visit:

Temple of Kom Ombo: Temple in Kom Ombo with a view of the Nile. With two entrances, two hypostyle halls, and two sanctuaries, this temple was partitioned into two separate temples.

You keep sailing toward Luxor and reach there after midnight. B.L.D.: All Meals Included.

Visit Luxor West Bank landmarks on day seven.

As you continue your journey, your tour guide will take you on a tour of Luxor West Bank, beginning with:

The Kings’ Valley: It is the location of the tombs of Egypt’s kings from the 18th to the 20th dynasties, notably those of the renowned Pharaoh Ramses II and the young Pharaoh Tutankhamun. The tombs were fully furnished with everything a monarch may want in the afterlife in terms of material things. The majority of the interior decorations are still in good condition.

Temple of Hatshepsut: of the most exquisite and well-preserved of all the Egyptian temples. The temple was constructed on three levels, connected by two large ramps in the middle.

Memnon’s Colossi: Only two enormous stone sculptures of King Amenhotep III survive in a funerary temple that was once completely constructed. The sculptures are constructed from quartzite sandstone stones that were originally found in Cairo and transported 700 km to Luxor.

After lunch, go back to the ship to spend the night. – B.L.D. All Meals Included

Day 8: Complete the 7-night Nile Cruise Program from Luxor.: After breakfast, check out and make your way to Luxor, where your journey through the heart of Egypt will come to a close.

What People Say About Us
5/5

Thank you Egypt Fun Tours for a most memorable trip. I admit I didn’t do any of the planning (it was all done by my boyfriend) but as you can read in the reviews below Hani (the owner of Egypt Fun Tours) is superbly organized and accommodating with scheduling.

My boyfriend and I, and our dearest mutual friend, booked the 7Days-6Nights tour. In short time, we visited Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor sailing down the down the Nile, pit stopping to see key sites at these location – and so much more!!! We got to know the ancient and modern egypt in depth thanks to Hani’s impressive knowledge. He also enlightened us on the people and their beliefs and went as far as showing us what a typical life looks like. I cannot express the level of personalized service Hani offered us. He was flexible to adapt to our requirements and added sites to our schedule that was not part of the tour simply to ensure we were 100% satisfied with our experience in Egypt.

I went to Egypt practically blind-folded, not knowing what to expect, especially considering the time we had decided to go (December 2020 – we were the first group that Hani met with after months of having to put his tour agency on hold considering the pandemic) yet he managed to surpass all of our expectations. I felt so incredibly lucky for us to have stumbled on Hani. I would recommend Egypt Fun Tours to anyone and everyone. It was truly, HANDS DOWN, the best cultural experience I’ve ever had. You’ll be in the best of hands.

Nille cruise,Luxor and Aswan where amazing sites to see, specially when you have with you the best tour guide in Egypt .Hamada was absolutely fantastic, lots of information and some of them not spoken by others. Hamada was incredible! So knowledgeable and kind. He had information about every item, street corner, and relic we looked at. Any questions we had, he had answers! He even made sure to give us tips while walking through the crowds so that’s we would feel more comfortable when being approached by vendors. Oh and the food?! He took us to the best places! Delicious food!! We tried Egyptian fried chicken, falafel for the first time, the best shawarma in the city (we love food). We even got to meet his beautiful wife and children and try some “French” Egyptian coffee in their home! Truly made friends for life!! We’ve promised to host him and the family when they travel to America for the first time! Such an incredible experience, and Hamada (and family) made it that much more memorable and amazing!

Excellent trip to historic sites with no one else around. We came to see Egypt while most places still had COVID19 fears. The staff at Egypt Fun Tours were professional, safe, and great to deal with. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and entertaining. I feel like I just got a a year of Egyptology in the last week and we had all the sites to ourselves due to COVID19. While people are shutting down and staying home you should feel safe to come explore with Egypt Fun Tours and have the place to yourself.
