Tour Itinerary

Detailed itinerary of the 7-Day Tours of Cairo and Hurghada

Day 1: Entry into Egypt: Day one will start as soon as you land at Cairo International Airport. An employee from “Egypt Fun Tours” will help you with passport control procedures and baggage identification and carrying. You will start your Cairo trip with a dinner cruise on the magnificent Nile after being taken by a private air-conditioned vehicle from the airport to your hotel to check in. In line with the tradition of Egypt’s whirling dervishes, you will watch a vibrant belly dance performance with a folklore band that includes the iconic Tannoura spin. After the performance, you will return to your hotel for the night.

Day 2: A tour of Memphis, Sakkara, and the Pyramids: After breakfast, you’ll meet your tour guide to start your 7-day trip to Cairo and Hurghada by visiting the most notable sites of the ancient Egyptian Civilization, beginning with:

Egyptian Pyramids in Giza: The Giza Pyramids Complex, which goes back more than 4000 years and includes the three major pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the great sphinx, and the Valley temple, is home to the oldest marvel in existence.

The Great Pyramid: One of the most well-known objects on the planet is the Great Pyramid of Khufu, which dates to 2580 BC, making it more than 4500 years old. It was one of the largest buildings in the world when it was completed in 20 years utilizing 2,300,000 pieces of limestone. Its height of 147 meters (481 feet) made it the highest structure in the world for 3800 years until the Lincoln Cathedral in England was built in 1311. The origin, function, and magnificent construction of the pyramid are the subject of several fringe ideas.

The Great Sphinx: Since ancient times, Egypt has only had one guardian: the Great Sphinx. Since there is still much mystery surrounding the monument’s age, function, and origin, it has inspired innumerable dreamers and travelers throughout the years and continues to do so now. It is the oldest statue on the whole globe. It is 73 meters (240 feet) tall, 19 meters (66 feet) wide, and is shaped after the mythological creature known as the sphinx, which has a lion’s body and a man’s head—likely king Khafre—as a sign of strength and wisdom.

The Valley Temple: The Valley Temple is one of the best-preserved structures of the ancient Egyptian civilization, made entirely of limestone and granite and holds amazing diorite statues of King Chephren in addition to showcasing a great deal of information about the ritual burial practices of that time. Mummification was first used in Egypt during the Old Kingdom (2686–2181 BC), a challenging time for the mummification process.

Proceed to a neighborhood eatery in Cairo for lunch. Then, we’ll go over to see:

Step Pyramid of Saqqara: As the first large-cut stone building, the Saqqara Step Pyramid is a unique structure in the globe. It was constructed by Pharaoh Djoser’s wisecracking vizier Imhotep. With six stairs and a height of 62 meters, it has a distinctive design. The complex that surrounds the pyramid was the first of its type and has exquisite ornamentation and imposing ceremonial buildings, ushering in the golden era of architecture.

Memphis City: Memphis City, established by King Menes to be the life of the two kingdoms and its first formal capital, was renowned for being a country of endurance and beauty. The patron deity of creation and art, Ptah, resides there. It is home to several monuments going back more than 4,000 years to prominent figures from ancient Egypt, including Ramses II, as well as magnificent temples dedicated to gods and goddesses like Aton and Hathor.

After that, we return you to your hotel for the night.

Day 3: Visit the Egyptian Museum and the Old Cairo Landmarks: Following breakfast and check-out from the hotel, you will begin your 7-day trip to Cairo and Hurghada by seeing the following tourist places in Cairo:

The Egyptian Museum: The Egyptian Museum is one of the largest museums in the world and is home to many magnificent items and monuments dating back more than 4000 years from all different historical periods. It is here that the wonderful legacy of Ancient Egypt is preserved. Mummies of some of the most prominent figures in ancient Egyptian history are on exhibit. King Tutankhamun’s treasures are the most often viewed artifacts out of more than 120,000 unique, authentic pieces produced from luxurious materials like gold or jewels to simple ones like wood or stone.

In Cairo, lunch will be provided at a neighborhood eatery before the tour.

Citadel of Salah El Din: The Salah El-Din Citadel was built by the great conqueror Salah El-Din in 1182 AD, earning it the nickname “Cairo Citadel” for how it appears and looms over the whole city. Late in the 19th century, it was transformed into the government’s seat of power after serving as the heart of the rule and a strong defensive bastion against Napoleon’s French invasion and the Crusaders. A courtroom, an armory, access points, four palaces, a sizable terrace, and multiple gateway mosques with beautiful designs are all located inside the citadel.

Mosque of Mohamed Ali: The Mohamed Ali Mosque sometimes referred to as the alabaster mosque, is a magnificent piece of architectural art. Between 1830 and 1848 AD, it was built as a copy of the blue mosque in Istanbul and as a protest against Ottoman Empire royal law, which forbade anybody other than the Turkish sultan from building mosques with more than two minarets. With its magnificent dome, exquisite finishing, and Ottoman-style construction with French rococo influences, the mosque is spectacular.

Egyptian Civilization National Museum: To completely discover all of Egypt’s cultural and historical treasures, which take the form of unique, captivating artifacts and monuments, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) is the miracle that everyone has been waiting for.

Market in Khan El Khalili: The Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the oldest in the area and dating back to 970 AD when Cairo was founded, is the Middle East’s version of the wizarding golden brick path. The street is still in use today and has everything a traveler might want in addition to all the lovely cafes and stores that have been there for hundreds of years. The beautiful Islamic buildings and street decorations are all-alluring and are still in fantastic shape today.

You will leave for the airport in Cairo after the day, take a flight to Hurghada, and then check into a five-star hotel for the night.

Day 4: Hurghada Safari Outings: After eating breakfast, you and your guide will go on a quad safari to explore the desert’s magnificence on day four.

Day Five: Red Sea Snorkeling Adventure: On day five, after enjoying your breakfast, you’ll go snorkeling in the Red Sea with your teacher.

Day 6: fly out of Hurghada to Cairo: After eating breakfast on Day 6, you will check out of your Hurghada hotel and take a flight in the evening to Cairo, where you will spend the night.

Day 7: Wrap Up Your 7-Day Tours of Cairo and Hurghada:

Your seven-day vacation in Cairo and Hurghada will come to an end on your last day when you eat breakfast and are driven to the airport, where you will safely return home.

What People Say About Us
5/5

Thank you Egypt Fun Tours for a most memorable trip. I admit I didn’t do any of the planning (it was all done by my boyfriend) but as you can read in the reviews below Hani (the owner of Egypt Fun Tours) is superbly organized and accommodating with scheduling.

My boyfriend and I, and our dearest mutual friend, booked the 7Days-6Nights tour. In short time, we visited Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor sailing down the down the Nile, pit stopping to see key sites at these location – and so much more!!! We got to know the ancient and modern egypt in depth thanks to Hani’s impressive knowledge. He also enlightened us on the people and their beliefs and went as far as showing us what a typical life looks like. I cannot express the level of personalized service Hani offered us. He was flexible to adapt to our requirements and added sites to our schedule that was not part of the tour simply to ensure we were 100% satisfied with our experience in Egypt.

I went to Egypt practically blind-folded, not knowing what to expect, especially considering the time we had decided to go (December 2020 – we were the first group that Hani met with after months of having to put his tour agency on hold considering the pandemic) yet he managed to surpass all of our expectations. I felt so incredibly lucky for us to have stumbled on Hani. I would recommend Egypt Fun Tours to anyone and everyone. It was truly, HANDS DOWN, the best cultural experience I’ve ever had. You’ll be in the best of hands.

Hamada was incredible! So knowledgeable and kind. He had information about every item, street corner, and relic we looked at. Any questions we had, he had answers! He even made sure to give us tips while walking through the crowds so that’s we would feel more comfortable when being approached by vendors. Oh and the food?! He took us to the best places! Delicious food!! We tried Egyptian fried chicken, falafel for the first time, the best shawarma in the city (we love food). We even got to meet his beautiful wife and children and try some “French” Egyptian coffee in their home! Truly made friends for life!! We’ve promised to host him and the family when they travel to America for the first time! Such an incredible experience, and Hamada (and family) made it that much more memorable and amazing!

Excellent trip to historic sites with no one else around. We came to see Egypt while most places still had COVID19 fears. The staff at Egypt Fun Tours were professional, safe, and great to deal with. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and entertaining. I feel like I just got a a year of Egyptology in the last week and we had all the sites to ourselves due to COVID19. While people are shutting down and staying home you should feel safe to come explore with Egypt Fun Tours and have the place to yourself.
