Detailed itinerary of the 7 Days Egypt Tour of Cairo, Nile Cruise & Alexandria

Day 1: Fly into Cairo and check into a five-star hotel: On day 1, an employee from “Egypt Fun Tours” will be waiting for you at the entrance gate and assist you with carrying your bags and completing the necessary passport entry procedures. Pompey’s Pillar

Pompey’s Pillar is a magnificent pillar from the period of the Roman Empire. It is the tallest monolithic column ever constructed outside of Rome and is 28 meters high by 2.7 meters broad. On its western top side, a Greek inscription honoring Emperor Diocletian can be seen. Because the Crusaders thought, erroneously, that the renowned Roman leader Pompey’s bones were kept in a jar at the tall top of the pillar in the Middle Ages, it was given the name Pompey’s Pillar.
