Detailed itinerary of the White Desert and El Fayoum Oasis in 6 Days Egypt Tour
Day 1: Cairo Arrival
Meet at Cairo airport upon arrival with an Egypt Fun Tours representative who will assist you through airport customs & formalities. You will be escorted immediately to your hotel by Egypt Fun AC modern vehicle. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2: Pyramids, Sphinx, Egyptian Museum & bazaars
Breakfast at the hotel, then we start exploring ancient attractions with a visit to the famous Pyramids. The Great Pyramid of Cheops which was built to be the grave of the King, is the largest of all the Egyptian Pyramids and is the only survivor of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Pyramid of Chephren, which is the best-preserved, and the Pyramid of Mycarinus.
Nearby see the Sphinx, a marvelous statue carved out of a natural rocky outcrop, the lion’s body stretching 57m, with its paws 15m long. We will (optional) visit the Papyrus Institute and learn how the paper was made in ancient times followed by shopping in the Papyrus Museum, Perfume factory, and Jewelry shop (optional).
Then start a tour to visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. The Egyptian Museum was established by the Egyptian government in 1855. The present museum building was opened in 1901, in the new classical style by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon. The museum exhibited collections that now exceed 120,000 objects ranging from the prehistoric era to the Greco-Roman period.
It has 107 halls, and the ground floor houses huge statues. The upper floor houses small statues, jewels, Tutankhamun treasures, and mummies. The museum also comprises a photography section and a large library. A hall for the Royal Mummies was opened at the museum, housing mummies of kings and queens. Your reward for the day will be a complimentary visit to Khan El Khalili bazaar which is one of the most famous worldwide with its amazing narrow alleyways.
The visitor can discover small restaurants and workaday cafes where Egyptians & non-Egyptians come to smoke water pipes and enjoy some of the traditional Egyptian drinks in the cafes scattered around the area. Transfer back to the hotel & overnight.
Day 3: Cairo – Bahariya Oasis
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and start our oases adventure to Bahariya Oasis. We arrive at Baeiti before lunch, relax and get our favorite drink before having the best Egyptian local food lunch in our Bedouin village.
After lunch, we start our off-road adventure to the black desert where we see the 40 million years old volcanos and what was left of black lava and its beautiful shapes. Continue our adventure to EL-Haiz Bedouin village to see the water spring, and possibly get a drink in the nice cafeteria of El-Haiz.
We then proceed to the Crystal Mountains desert which is one of the western desert wonders of Egypt. Continue our desert safari adventure to the old white desert to see the mushroom-shaped rock formations before heading to our campsite in the new white desert.
We arrive at the white desert before sunset so we can catch great photos in the new white desert. Barbecue dinner is prepared by our bedouin staff. Overnight in the white desert. All that we need for camping is included. soft drinks are included meals are included.
Day 4: the White Desert – Cairo
Breakfast at the white desert. After breakfast, we start our trip back to Bahariya Oasis, we take a short break, and then start our trip back to Cairo with one-stop halfway for coffee or toilets. Arrive in Cairo, check in at our hotel, and overnight.
Day 5: El-Fayoum Oasis & Wadi El-Hitan Desert Adventure
After breakfast at the hotel, pick you up and start our oases adventure to El-Fayoum oasis. We arrive at Lake Qarun to enjoy the morning and the fresh breath of the lake. Continue our trip to Tunis village to see Egyptian craftswomen creating beautiful pottery.
We then continued our trip to Wadi El-Hitan exploring the two museums it has to offer, the climate change museum and the open-air museum of whale fossils, these whale fossils are 40 to 200 million years old. Egyptian local yummy lunch at Wadi El-Hitan. After lunch, we proceed to Mudawara Mountain to see the beautiful scenery of the lakes surrounded by mountains. Continue our trip to Wadi El-Rayan to see the waterfalls and enjoy the sunset over the lake. Transfer back to Cairo to the hotel and overnight.
Day 6: Final departure
Breakfast in the hotel, check out, and transfer to Cairo International Airport for your final departure
