Day 1: Arrival in Cairo & Welcome
Upon landing at Cairo International Airport, our representative will meet you inside the terminal to assist with your entry visa, luggage, and customs. Enjoy a smooth transfer to your luxury hotel in Cairo. Take the rest of the evening to unwind and prepare for your adventure.
Day 2: The Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & Saqqara Necropolis
Begin your journey at the iconic Giza Plateau. Stand in awe of the Great Pyramid of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, followed by a visit to the Great Sphinx. In the afternoon, travel to Saqqara to discover the Step Pyramid of Djoser—the world’s oldest monumental stone building—and explore the intricate wall reliefs of the Old Kingdom mastabas.
Day 3: Islamic Cairo, Khan el-Khalili & The Egyptian Museum
Spend the morning exploring the vast collection of ancient artifacts at the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, including royal mummies and golden treasures. Later, stroll through historic Islamic Cairo and navigate the famous Khan el-Khalili bazaar, where you can browse local handicrafts and enjoy authentic Egyptian tea.
Day 4: Flight to Luxor & Karnak Temple
Take a short morning flight from Cairo to Luxor. Upon arrival, step onboard your 5-Star Nile Cruise ship for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, visit the magnificent East Bank of Luxor, exploring the massive Karnak Temple complex and the beautifully illuminated Luxor Temple.
Day 5: Luxor West Bank & Sailing to Edfu
Cross the Nile to the West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings, stepping inside the vibrantly preserved underground tombs of the pharaohs. Continue to the striking Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and pause at the giant Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon, set sail down the Nile towards Edfu.
Day 6: Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples
In the morning, take a horse-drawn carriage to visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the best-preserved shrines in all of Egypt. Return to the ship and relax on the sun deck as you sail to Kom Ombo to visit the unusual double temple dedicated to the falcon god Haroeris and the crocodile god Sobek.
Day 7: Aswan & Philae Temple
Arrive in scenic Aswan. Take a private motorboat ride across the Nile to the island temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Afterward, visit the Unfinished Obelisk in the ancient granite quarries to learn how the ancient Egyptians carved massive stone monuments directly from bedrock.
Day 8: Excursion to the Grand Temples of Abu Simbel
Depart early for a highlight excursion to Abu Simbel. Marvel at the immense rock-cut temples built by King Ramses II, featuring four colossal statues guarding the entrance and the neighboring temple dedicated to Queen Nefertari. Return to Aswan in the afternoon for a relaxing evening on board.
Day 9: Fly Back to Cairo
Disembark your Nile Cruise after breakfast and transfer to Aswan Airport for your return flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy a free evening to explore Cairo’s modern dining scene or relax at your leisure.
Day 10: Final Departure
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before meeting our representative for your private transfer to Cairo International Airport for your international flight home, carrying memories of an incredible ancient journey.
