Detailed itinerary of Cairo and Alexandria from El Gouna for 2 Days Tour
Day 1: Trip to Cairo Attractions
Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in El Gouna for a flight to Cairo to enjoy a 2 days tour of Cairo & Alexandria from El Gouna. Upon arrival at Cairo airport, you will meet your Egyptologist guide who will accompany you to discover:
Giza Pyramids Complex
The complex includes three main pyramids, six little pyramids, the great sphinx, and the Valley Temple. The complex dates back to the 4th dynasty 2400 years B.C.
The Great Pyramid
It is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids of the Giza plateau and the only one to remain intact from the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. The height of the great pyramid is 147m, the number of stones used in construction is 2,300,000 and it took twenty years to be built.
The Great Sphinx
It is the largest statue in the world, standing at 73 m. long, 19 m. wide, and 20 m in height. It is the oldest known monumental sculpture.
The Valley Temple
A Granite mortuary temple was used by Ancient Egyptians for the mummification process and this is the only remaining one on the Giza plateau.

Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa
A Roman burial site whose family tomb reveals the merging of Egyptian and Roman art and architecture. Descend below the ground to visit the tomb and Caracalla Hall.

Pompey’s Pillar
An 82-foot (25-meter) granite column was built to honor Emperor Diocletian, who freed the besieged city and brought food to its starving people.

A 15th-century fortress located on the Mediterranean seacoast. It was established in 1477 AD by Sultan Al-Ashraf Qa’it Bay. The Citadel is situated in the same place as Pharos Island.

Alexandria Library
A copy of every book published in the world is kept in the library, making it one of the great literary sites in the world. The library also houses several exhibitions relating to the history of Egypt and a display of rare antique books.
