Wonderful Trip to Luxor and Aswan from Soma Bay

Discover the wonders of ancient and modern Egypt through this 2 days tour package of Luxor and Aswan from Soma Bay. The Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Philae Temple, Edfu Temple, and many others are among the best monuments to illustrate the history of these heavenly realms and contain the most complete examples of mythological architecture. They can all be found in upper Egypt, in the golden land of Thebes of Luxor and Aswan. By scheduling this breathtaking two-day tour from Soma Bay to Luxor and Aswan, you may experience the adventure of a lifetime.

Day 1: Luxor’s Ancient Wonders

Your two-day tour from Soma Bay begins early! We will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you by private, air-conditioned car to Luxor. Get ready to explore.

Valley of the Kings

First, discover the Valley of the Kings, Luxor’s most significant monument. This site acts as a gateway to the afterlife, housing the bodies of New Kingdom rulers (1570-1070 BC). It features 63 tombs, with 20 royal tombs filled with an astonishing array of treasures, artifacts, and captivating wall decorations.

Hatshepsut Temple

Next, explore the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This carved temple, created during her reign (1507-1458 BC), stands as an ideal example of ancient classical architecture. Hatshepsut built it to gain the favor of Amun, the creator sun god, and to solidify her immortal legacy and heritage.

Colossi of Memnon

Finally, see the two magnificent Colossi of Memnon. These colossal seated statues of Amenhotep III (1386-1350 BC) stand at the entrance to Luxor, reaching an impressive height of 18 meters.

You will enjoy lunch at an Egyptian restaurant with stunning Nile views. Afterward, your guide will lead you to your next incredible destination.

Karnak Temple

Explore the heavenly Karnak Temple, one of the greatest and largest constructions ever built. Its sole purpose was to honor the deities of ancient Egypt. This vast complex spans 247 acres, filled with 25 temples dedicated to various gods, including the Theban Triad, Osiris, Ptah, and Isis.

In the evening, you will head to Luxor train station. Board a first-class train to Aswan, where you will check into your 5-star hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Discover Aswan’s Treasures

Your day begins early in Aswan. Your private tour guide will pick you up from your hotel.

The High Dam

First, visit the Aswan High Dam, the newest and largest construction in the golden city of Aswan. Built in the 1960s with assistance from the Soviet government, this dam helps control and store floodwaters. It also generates electricity, making it Egypt’s gateway to green energy.

The Unfinished Obelisk

Next, marvel at The Unfinished Obelisk, the largest construction of its kind in Egypt. Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) commissioned this massive obelisk. However, it broke during construction and remains in its original quarry to this day.

Philae Temple

Finally, explore Philae Temple. This beautiful temple, built between 380 and 362 BC, showcases the myth of Osiris. It served as the house of Isis, the goddess of motherhood, healing, and more. Notably, it was relocated to Agilkia Island in the 1960s as part of a UNESCO rescue mission, along with the Abu Simbel temples.

After your Aswan exploration, you will return to the train station for your journey back to Luxor. A private car will then transfer you to your hotel in Soma Bay, concluding your two-day tour to Luxor and Aswan.
