5-day Egypt Family Holiday Itinerary

1st day: Arrive in Cairo and Enjoy the Light and Sound Show

• Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, our representative will assist the family with paperwork and handle the luggage.
• A private A/C vehicle will then transport the family to their hotel in Cairo for check-in and relaxation.
• In the evening, enjoy a spectacular Light and Sound Show at the Giza Complex, where the family can learn about the ancient Egyptian civilization that flourished along the Nile River.
• Dinner: Savor a meal at a local restaurant.
• Accommodation: Overnight at the hotel in Cairo.

2nd day: Visit the Giza Pyramids Complex

• Breakfast: Start the day with breakfast at the hotel.
• The family will explore the Giza Pyramids Complex with their tour guide, including:
  • The Great Pyramid: Built for Pharaoh Khufu around 2600 BC, this monumental structure stands 147 meters (481 feet) tall and weighs approximately 6 million tonnes.
  • The Great Sphinx: This iconic statue, dating back to 2558–2532 BC, features the likeness of Khafre and symbolizes strength and wisdom.
  • The Valley Temple: An ancient structure used for the mummification of royalty during the Old Kingdom (2686–2134 BC).
• Lunch: Enjoy a meal at a restaurant with stunning views of the Pyramids and the Nile.
• Visit the Egyptian Museum, established in 1901, which houses a vast collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts.
• Accommodation: Return to the hotel in Cairo for the night.

3rd day: Explore the Beautiful City of Aswan

• Breakfast: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out.
• Fly to Aswan, where the family will meet their tour guide to explore:
  • Aswan High Dam: Built in the 1960s, this dam regulates the Nile’s annual floods and generates hydroelectric power.
  • Unfinished Obelisk: This massive obelisk, intended for Queen Hatshepsut, remains in its quarry, showcasing ancient stone-carving techniques.

• Visit the Philae Temple, relocated to Agilkia Island by UNESCO in 1979, dedicated to the goddess Isis and built during the Ptolemaic dynasty.

Day 4: Tour the Great Abu Simbel Temples

• Breakfast: Receive breakfast boxes for an early start.
• Travel with your tour guide in a private A/C vehicle to the Abu Simbel Temples:
  • Built by Ramses the Great (1303–1213 BC), these magnificent temples commemorate his victories and devotion to the gods and his wife, Nefertari. The temples were relocated to preserve them from rising waters.
• Lunch: Enjoy a meal together as a family.
• Fly back to Cairo for the night.
• Accommodation: Overnight at the hotel in Cairo.
