Edfu and Kom Ombo from Aswan

Enjoy a day trip from Aswan to the temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo. This tour takes you along the Nile River to explore the art and tales of ancient Egyptian civilization. You will be picked up from your hotel or Nile cruise in Aswan and, after the tour, we will transport you back. This trip offers a chance to see two of Egypt’s most famous temples in one day.

Aswan to Edfu & Kom Ombo Day Tour

An “Egypt Fun Tours” representative will pick you up from your Aswan hotel or Nile cruise. You’ll begin your day tour with a visit to the Kom Ombo Temple.

Kom Ombo Temple

This unique temple stands on high ground overlooking the Nile. It differs from other temples because it has a double entrance. One side is dedicated to “Haroeris,” a deity with a falcon head, and the other honors “Sobek,” who has a crocodile head. Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant in Luxor. Then, you’ll cross the Nile to Edfu to visit the Edfu Temple.

Edfu Temple

The Edfu Temple is considered the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt. According to ancient Egyptian mythology, the falcon-headed god Horus revenged his father, Osiris, by killing Seth here. Finally, we will drive you back to your hotel or Nile cruise in Aswan, concluding your tour.
