Cairo is a city of everlasting wonders dating back over 4000 years, so if you’re seeking something more than a Makadi tropical vacation, take this wonderful journey and experience the vacation of a lifetime.

Cairo Tour by Plane from Makadi Bay

Your incredible journey begins early! We will collect you from your Makadi Bay hotel and drive you to Hurghada International Airport in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. There, you’ll catch your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, your tour guide will greet you, and you’ll immediately begin exploring history’s earliest marvels.

Giza Pyramids Complex

First, discover the Giza Pyramids Complex, a site showcasing ancient Egypt’s everlasting legacy. Explore the magnificent three Giza Pyramids: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. The Great Giza complex also includes six smaller pyramids, the majestic Sphinx, and the Valley Temple, often called the “abode of immortality.”

The Great Pyramid of Giza

Marvel at The Great Pyramid of Giza, the last surviving wonder of the ancient world. Builders constructed the Khufu Pyramid in under 20 years, starting in 2580 BC. They used 2.3 million limestone blocks, each weighing 2.5 tonnes, and a skilled crew of 100,000 laborers to reach a height of 147 meters (481 feet). The pyramid’s brilliance truly lies within its inner chamber, which boasts outstanding construction.

The Great Sphinx of Giza

Next, stand before The Great Sphinx, also known as “Hor-em-Akhet” or “Horus of the Horizon.” This enormous ancient monument stands 73 meters (240 feet) tall and 19 meters (66 feet) wide. Shaped like a mythical creature, it combines the full physical appearance of a lion with the facial expression of a man, believed to be Pharaoh Khafre.

The Valley Temple

Finally, explore The Valley Temple, the central hub of the mummification process. This practice began during Egypt’s Old Kingdom (2686–2134 BC). The temple is well-preserved and contains incredible archaeological artifacts. These provide invaluable information about the mummification process and ancient Egyptian funeral rites. After your fascinating morning, you’ll enjoy lunch at a restaurant offering spectacular views of the pyramids.

The Egyptian Museum

After lunch, step into a timeless dimension at The Egyptian Museum. Its two floors house over 120,000 unique objects, dating back over 4,000 years. These artifacts are crafted from rich materials like gold, precious metals, wood, and stone. The museum holds many amazing and interesting exhibits, including a captivating collection of mummies that will undoubtedly stimulate your curiosity.

Khan El Khalili Bazaar

Your day concludes with a visit to Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the Middle East’s “golden brick road.” This ancient and still operational market bazaar dates back to 970 AD. The vibrant street offers everything a traveler could desire, along with wonderful cafés, bustling marketplaces, and centuries-old boutiques. The street is adorned with exceptional and magnificent Islamic architecture, and its decorations are truly captivating and well-preserved.

Finally, you’ll go to Cairo Airport to catch your flight back to Hurghada. From there, you will return to your Makadi Bay hotel, concluding your memorable Cairo tour by plane.
