Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) Site Tickets

The long-awaited Grand Egyptian Museum continues its phased opening, with a significant update for travelers:

  • Final Opening: The official grand opening of the GEM, featuring the highly anticipated Tutankhamun galleries and the Khufu Solar Boat Museum, is scheduled for November 1, 2025.
  • Current Status: The museum complex is partially open, with visitors able to explore the Main Galleries, Grand Hall, Grand Staircase, and other areas, including the King Tut galleries and the Solar Boat Museum.
  • Digital Tickets: Egypt has been digitizing its ticketing system for over 110 years, covering its heritage sites. Visitors can now purchase tickets online through the official booking website, via a mobile app, or at self-service kiosks at various sites. This move aims to make the entry process more efficient and reduce reliance on cash payments.
