Ancient civilizations have put a mark on these sides for millennia, and now it’s your turn to appreciate them. With so much to explore and see in this beautiful country, planning a trip of any length may seem daunting. However, with the following itinerary, you can be sure to make the most of your 5 days exploring Egypt.

Day 1: Cairo

Start your trip in the bustling city of Cairo, where you can embrace the intense and vibrant culture of Egypt’s capital. Visit the world-famous Pyramids of Giza and ask your guide to provide historical context to make the most of your visit. These ancient structures are undoubtedly one of the most impressive feats of human ingenuity and engineering, and are a must-visit destination in Egypt. Don’t forget to take a moment to appreciate the famous Sphinx before returning to the city to take a walk through the old streets.

Day 2: Cairo

On your second day, explore the Islamic history of Cairo. Visit the stunning Al-Azhar Mosque, one of the most important Islamic institutions in the world, and the Citadel of Saladin, which again offers fantastic views of the city. Recover your energy with a traditional Egyptian lunch before exploring the bustling Khan Al-Khalili market. Day 3: Luxor
