Luxor And Abydos from Safaga Tour itinerary
Day 1: Visit Dendera and the Abydos Temple: You will be picked up by a private A/C car at the departure door of your cruise from Safaga Port and joined by your highly certified tour guide to visit:
Dendera Temple
It’s one of the best-preserved beautiful temples, dating back to 54 BC when Ptolemy VII and Cleopatra began building and was completed in 20 BC during the rule of the Romans. It was devoted to Hathor, the Egyptian goddess of love, fertility, and music, as well as other Egyptian gods.
Temple of Abydos
It was dedicated to Seti I and became a pilgrimage site for ancient Egyptians who sought to be buried near the spectacular tomb of Osiris at Abydos. It was founded more than 3000 years ago and is dedicated to Seti I.
We’ll take you to Luxor for lunch at a fantastic restaurant before checking into a 5* hotel for the night.
Visit Luxor Attractions on Day 2: After breakfast at the hotel, you will be accompanied by your personal tour guide to the following locations:
The Kings’ Valley
The Valley of the Monarchs contains more than 60 burial chambers for the brilliant kings of the 18th and 19th dynasties, as well as their family members and renowned nobles.
Temple of Hatshepsut
Hatshepsut Temple is dedicated to the Great Queen Hatshepsut, Egypt’s sole female pharaoh and one of Egypt’s most famous and successful monarchs. Her reign was one of the most prosperous periods in terms of trade, economy, and construction, which is why her funerary temple was one of the best-preserved colossal structures.
Memnon’s Colossi
Luxor’s gateway was adorned with two magnificent Amenhotep III twin sculptures. Each of the two statues stands at a height of 60 feet. After that, you’ll go to a good restaurant for lunch, and then you’ll go to the museum.
Karnak Temple
It’s on the east bank of the Nile River and dates from 2055 BC. It’s made up of a variety of chapels, temples, and other structures. It was primarily built as a religious temple dedicated to the gods Amun, Khonsu, and Mut.
Your two-day vacation will conclude when you are taken back to your ship in Safaga Port.
