Detailed itinerary of the 10 Days Easter Tour in Egypt

Day 1: Arrive at Cairo airport – Nile Dinner Cruise: When you arrive at Cairo airport, a representative from “Egypt Fun Tours” will welcome you and help you with passport control, baggage identification, and portage. You will be picked up from the airport by a private A/C vehicle and driven to your hotel to check in.

We will pick you up from your hotel in the evening to begin your Egypt easter holiday with a dinner cruise on which you will sit back and relax while watching a colorful belly dancing show with a folklore band, including the unforgettable Tannoura spin, in keeping with Egypt’s whirling dervishes tradition, before being transferred back to your hotel for the night.

Day 2: The Egyptian pyramids provide a wealth of history and beauty: After breakfast, meet your own Egyptologist tour guide to begin your 10-day Egypt Easter vacation by seeing some of Cairo’s biggest tourist destinations, beginning with:

Giza Pyramids Complex

Three major pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple are all part of the complex. The structure dates from 2400 B.C. when it was built by the 4th dynasty.

The Great Pyramid of Giza

The Great Pyramid of Giza belongs to “King Khufu,” and it is the oldest and biggest of the three pyramids on the Giza plateau, as well as the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World that has survived intact. The enormous pyramid is 147 meters tall, has 2,300,000 stones in its construction, and took twenty years to complete.

The Great Sphinx of Giza

The 73-meter-high Great Sphinx of “King Chephren” is the world’s biggest statue. 19 m in length has a width of 20 meters and a height of 20 meters. It is the earliest monumental sculpture that has been discovered.

The Valley Temple:

This is the sole surviving granite funerary temple used by Ancient Egyptians for the mummification procedure on the Giza plateau.

Lunch will be served at a restaurant with a view of the Pyramids or the Nile, after which you will visit:

Step Pyramid of Saqqara

It dates back to the era of King Djoser, who governed Egypt in the 27th century B.C. and is said to be the oldest large-scale cut-stone building. The 62-meter-high step pyramid is made up of six steps stacked on top of one another.

Memphis city

King Menes established it as Egypt’s first capital, and it was strategically located between Upper and Lower Egypt. Memphis was said to be guarded by the deity Ptah, who was the god of creation and art. Finally, we’ll return you to your Cairo hotel for the night.

Day 3: Aswan’s Timeless Beauty: Enjoy your breakfast and check out from your Cairo hotel before being transferred to Cairo airport to catch your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, meet our tour guide to begin the second half of your Egypt easter vacation by touring Aswan tourist sites, beginning with:

High Dam of Aswan

It was erected between 1960 and 1970 over the Nile River at Aswan, and it has had a profound impact on Egypt’s economy and culture.

The Unfinished Obelisk

Ancient Egypt’s biggest obelisk. It was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) to accompany the Lateran Obelisk (which was initially located at Karnak and then transported to the Lateran Palace in Rome).

Temple of Philae

Philae is a shrine dedicated to Isis, the goddess of beauty and love. As part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign initiative, the temple complex was demolished and transported to neighboring Agilkia Island, safeguarding it and other monuments before the Aswan High Dam was completed in 1970. After that, enjoy your lunch before checking into your 5* luxury Nile cruise and spending the night on board.

Day 4: Tour of Kom Ombo Temple: After breakfast onboard your Nile cruise, join your tour guide for a visit to Kom Ombo Temple, which overlooks the Nile, and is separated into two temples with two entrances, two hypostyle halls, and two sanctuaries. Return to your ship for lunch and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Tour of Edfu Temple: After breakfast on board, accompany our tour guide for a visit to:

Edfu Temple:

Edfu Temple is dedicated to Horus, the Egyptian god. Edfu Temple is Egypt’s best-preserved Greco-Roman temple, with a “Play” depicting Horus’ victory over the wicked deity Seth painted on its walls.

On the cruise, enjoy your lunch and sail to Luxor, arriving late at night and spending the night on board.

Day 6: In Luxor, delve into the glitzy past of the ancient Egyptians: Breakfast aboard the ship, then check out and join our Egyptologist tour guide and a private air-conditioned car to finish your Egypt easter trip in upper Egypt, seeing Luxor tourist spots such as:

The King’s Valley

Valley of the Kings is home to the tombs of Egypt’s monarchs from the 18th through 20th dynasties, including the renowned pharaoh Ramses II and the child Tutankhamun. The tombs were properly supplied with everything a monarch may want in the afterlife. The majority of the tomb decorations are still intact.

The Temple of Hatshepsut

Hatshepsut Temple is one of the most gorgeous and well-preserved Egyptian temples. The temple was constructed on three levels, with two large ramps connecting the floors in the center.

Memnon’s Colossus

The only vestiges of a full funerary temple are two huge stone sculptures of King Amenhotep III. The figures are built of quartzite sandstone stones that were found near Cairo and transported 700 kilometers to Luxor.

Continue to visit after your lunch:

Temple of Karnak

The Karnak temple is one of Egypt’s most stunning sites. It’s the world’s biggest temple complex. It is the result of several generations of Egyptian builders and Pharaohs working together. The Temple of Karnak is made up of three great temples spread out across 247 acres.

Finally, check into a 5* Luxor hotel for the night.

Day 7: Luxor to Hurghada Transfer: On day 7 of your 10-day Egypt easter trip, have breakfast and check out of your Luxor hotel, then move to Hurghada city for an overnight stay at a 5* hotel to experience the third portion of your vacation, which is leisure days in the Red Sea of Hurghada.

Day 8: Hurghada Snorkeling Boat Trip: After breakfast, go on a snorkeling trip in the Red Sea and marvel at the fascinating underwater life in this haven of calm. Return to your hotel room for the night.

Day 9: Explore the stunning attractions of Old Cairo: Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then check out and travel to the airport to catch your flight to Cairo to continue your Egypt easter vacation by seeing the following sites in Old Cairo:

The Egyptian Museum

The Egyptian Museum has a unique 5000-year-old art collection. Nearly 250,000 authentic ancient Egyptian items are on display, including an exhibit devoted to Tutankhamun’s riches, gold, and jewelry, which was kept safe for over 3,500 years in his tomb.

Lunch will be provided at a local Cairo restaurant before visiting:

Citadel of Salah El Din

Cairo Citadel is a majestic citadel that served as Egypt’s center of government until the 1860s. It was built under the reign of Salah ad-Din. Work on the structure began in 1176 and was finished in 1182.

Mohamed Ali Mosque

The mosque was built between 1830 and 1848 and is known as “The Alabaster Mosque” because the majority of the walls are composed of flawless alabaster. Mohamed Ali Mosque is a copy of Istanbul’s Blue Mosque.

The Egyptian Civilization National Museum is located in Cairo, Egypt.
The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) is a traveler’s dream come true for everyone who wants to learn about Egypt’s unique history and culture in the most enchanting and efficient way possible. The Museum was created to take visitors on a trip through Egypt’s treasures throughout the years, from prehistoric periods to the present day.

Bazaar of Khan El Khalili

A vacation to Cairo would be incomplete without a trip to the Khan El-Khalili market, the Middle East’s oldest and most renowned bazaar. It was built about 970 AD, the same year that Cairo was founded.

We will bring you to your Cairo hotel for the night after the day.

Day 10: End of 10 Days Easter tour: After breakfast, our representative will drive you to the airport and help you with the last departure requirements, bringing your Egypt Easter adventure to a close.

Alexandria! Wow!

November 7, 2024

Muhammad is the best! He showed me a world I never thought possible! The tombs in Alexandria by far was my favorite! I never knew there was a place on earth that contained both Greek and Egyptian carvings in the same tombs! The history and culture of Egypt is so fascinating! I highly recommend booking with Muhammad!

AMAZING TOUR, SOLO TRAVELER.

October 12, 2024

I am a California woman who traveled to Egypt alone and thanks to Egypt Fun Tours I had a great time. Hani, Mohammed, Kamal and David (my driver) were very professional and very knowledgeable, I appreciate how respectful they were and how protective they were with me.

They show me everything I wanted to see in Cairo and nearby places like Saqqara, Memphis, etc. Thanks to them I had a great time in Egypt, they were so so helpful than on my second day they helped me to move from my hotel in Giza to the Steigenberger hotel in downtown Cairo.

The tour price is super good includes a guide (expert in the field) a driver, lunch and drinks, they took me to amazing places for lunch, the food was super super delicious, for a foodie like me that was a highlight. We went out fo the tourist traps and I got to see the Cairo that if you are in a bus tour you will never get to see.

This tour is personalized for each person depending of what you want to see and do, I absolutely love it.

I used WhatsApp to communicate with Hani and arranged all my tours, Hani was super super nice since the moment I contacted him and explained him what I wanted to do and see.

Hani and his group mesmerized me with the tours they put together, this is a memory I will keep for lifetime.

I had only good things to say about them and I highly recommend them.

I did visit the pyramids in Giza, downtown Cairo, new Cairo, several museums, Coptic Cairo and Muslim Cairo with them and I learned a lot from them, I felt like they were family to me and it was EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT.

If I go back to Egypt I will hire them again without hesitation.

David I take my hat off for you because I have NO IDEA how you can drive in crazy Cairo, thanks to all of you for making this lady’s dream a reality.
