Day 1: Arrival in Egypt / Visit Giza Pyramids
Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, Egypt Fun Tours will pick you up. Next, we will assist you with travel formalities and luggage identification. Then, a professional Egyptologist will escort you in a modern, air-conditioned car to explore the best of Cairo, including:
Giza Pyramids Complex: This ancient site holds a precious legacy in history. The pharaohs of the 4th dynasty built their glorious tombs inside three remarkable pyramids. These pyramids are dedicated to Cheops, Chephren, and Menkaure. The Pyramid of Cheops stands out due to its massive size.
The Great Sphinx: The Great Sphinx symbolizes wisdom and strength. It features a man’s head and a lion’s body. Standing 73 meters long and 20 meters high, many myths suggest it was built to guard the Giza Plateau.
The Valley Temple: Your final stop at the Giza Plateau is the Valley Temple, dedicated to Pharaoh Khafre. This well-preserved structure from the Old Kingdom served as a mortuary site for the mummification process. Afterward, enjoy lunch at a high-quality restaurant. Then, check into your 5-star hotel.
In the evening, your tour guide will take you to a deluxe Nile ship. There, you can enjoy belly dancing and a Tannura folkloric show while savoring a delicious dinner. Finally, we will transfer you back to your hotel.
Day 2: Fabulous Trip to Wadi El Hitan
After breakfast at your hotel in Cairo, we will pick you up for a trip to El Fayoum Oasis. Our first stop will be:
Qarun Lake: Also known as Birket Qarun, this saltwater lake lies about 80 kilometers southwest of Cairo. It is one of the oldest natural lakes in the world and the third-largest in Egypt, covering approximately 202 square kilometers. The lake receives agricultural and municipal runoff through its two major drains.
Tunis Village: Next, we will visit Tunis Village, known for its art galleries and pottery workshops. This small village offers scenic landscapes and a unique blend of arts, adventure, and relaxation. You can enjoy activities like pottery workshops, hiking, camel riding, and bird watching. Tunis Village also features various accommodations, including eco-lodges and campsites.
Wadi El Rayyan: Afterward, we will explore Wadi El Rayyan, a protected nature reserve about 65 km southwest of Cairo. This area consists of two connected lakes, an upper lake, and a lower lake, with a waterfall and a canal between them. The Egyptian government designated it as a nature protectorate in 1989.
Wadi El Hitan: Finally, we will visit Wadi El Hitan, or Whale Valley. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is about 150 km southwest of Cairo. It is one of the most significant paleontological sites globally, known for its invaluable fossil remains of early whales and other prehistoric species from the Eocene epoch, around 37 million years ago. After our explorations, we will transfer you back to Cairo for the night at your hotel.
