Nile River Cruise from Hurghada itinerary

Day One: Check-in Cruise and Tour of the East Bank of Luxor

Beginning with a visit to the East Bank of Luxor, we will take you from your Hurghada hotel in the morning so you can enjoy your Nile River cruises from Hurghada to Luxor and Aswan.

Temple of Karnak

The Karnak temple is the most impressive site in Egypt. It sounds like you’re referring to the Karnak Temple complex in Egypt! It’s one of the largest religious buildings in the world and was primarily dedicated to the god Amun. The complex features impressive temples, chapels, and other structures built over centuries, reflecting the achievements of various pharaohs. If you have more specific questions or want to explore a particular aspect, feel free to ask! On a 247-acre plot of ground, the Temple of Karnak consists of three major temples, many smaller walled temples, and several peripheral temples.

After that, board your 5-star Nile cruise for lunch and some relaxation. We will take you up in the evening to enjoy:

Luxor Temple by Night

The festival of Opet centered around the Luxor Temple, which served as the venue for the festival’s ceremonies. Amenhotep III and Ramses II primarily built the temple, making it a significant site for the celebrations. During the Opet festival, the pharaoh would travel from Karnak to Luxor, reinforcing the connection between the gods and the ruler. The purpose of the event was to bring the ruler’s divine and human halves closer together.

Aboard for the night, Meals Included “L.D.”

The second day: sail to Edfu

From Hurghada, continue your Nile River cruises by sailing to Esna and then to Edfu. Edfu overnight stays B.L.D. Includes All Meals

Day 3: Visit Edfu Temple and then sail to Aswan

Join your Egyptologist tour guide after breakfast to visit:

Temple in Edfu

A “Play” depicting the victory of Horus over the wicked deity Seth is painted on the walls of the Edfu Temple, which is said to be the most well-preserved Greco-Roman structure in all of Egypt.

Once you’ve finished your tour of Edfu, board the ship once again and set sail towards Aswan. In the evening, Aswan (late-night arrival). B.L.D. All Meals Included

Day Four: Visit the Attractions in Aswan

Enjoy your breakfast before continuing to Aswan, where you will see the following sites to finish your Nile River cruises from Hurghada:

The High Dam

At Aswan, a bridge across the Nile was constructed. Between 1960 and 1970, the High Dam was built, and its impact on Egypt’s economy and culture has been profound.

The Unfinished Obelisk

The biggest ancient obelisk that is known. Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC) placed an order for it, probably to complement the Lateran Obelisk (which was originally at Karnak and was later brought to the Lateran Palace in Rome).

Temple of Philae

Temple at Philae to the goddess Isis of Love and Beauty. As part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign initiative, authorities disassembled the temple complex and relocated it to Agilkia Island to protect it from rising waters before the completion of the Aswan High Dam in 1970. This effort ensured the preservation of the temples and other important sites in the region. This remarkable effort ensured the preservation of the temples and other significant sites in the area.

A night on the boat. B.L.D. Includes All Meals

Day Five: Visit Abu Simbel and return by boat to Kom Ombo

Get your breakfast boxes in the morning, then meet your tour guide for a private guided tour of the Abu Simbel Temples:

Abu Simbel Temples

The two temples of Abu Simbel showcase the pinnacle of ancient Egyptian architecture with their distinctive designs. King Ramses II erected both rock-cut temples around 1200 B.C. In one temple, he is honored, while the other celebrates his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari.

Both temples feature stunning sculptures and intricate artwork that reflect the grandeur of their time.

This temple is a must-see since it has hand-carved pillars, wall paintings, sculptures, statues, and much more. After lunch, return to your cruise and sailing. Included Are All Meals {B.L.D}

Day Six: Visit Kom Ombo and return by boat to Luxor

On the boat, have your breakfast before joining your tour guide to see:

Temple of Kom Ombo

A temple with a view of the Nile is Kom Ombo Temple. With two entrances, two hypostyle halls, and two sanctuaries, this temple was partitioned into two separate temples.

Once your visit to the Kom Ombo is complete, return to your ship and set sail towards Luxor. B.L.D. All Meals Included

Day Seven: Return by boat to Luxor

From Hurghada, continue your Nile River cruises with an excursion to the West Bank of Luxor to see:

The Kings’ Valley

It is the location of the tombs of Egypt’s kings from the 18th to the 20th dynasties, notably those of the renowned Pharaoh Ramses II and the young Pharaoh Tutankhamun. The tombs were fully furnished with everything a monarch may want in the afterlife in terms of material things. The majority of the interior decorations are still in good condition.

Temple of Hatshepsut

One of the most stunning and well-preserved of all the ancient Egyptian temples is the Hatshepsut Temple. The temple was constructed on three levels, connected by two large ramps in the middle.

Memnon’s Colossi

Only two enormous stone sculptures of King Amenhotep III survive in a funerary temple that was once completely constructed. The sculptures are constructed from quartzite sandstone stones that were originally found in Cairo and transported 700 km to Luxor.

All your Meals Included {B.L.D}.

Day 8: End of your 8 Days Nile Cruise from Hurghada

Alexandria! Wow!

November 7, 2024

Muhammad is the best! He showed me a world I never thought possible! The tombs in Alexandria by far was my favorite! I never knew there was a place on earth that contained both Greek and Egyptian carvings in the same tombs! The history and culture of Egypt is so fascinating! I highly recommend booking with Muhammad!

AMAZING TOUR, SOLO TRAVELER.

October 12, 2024

I am a California woman who traveled to Egypt alone and thanks to Egypt Fun Tours I had a great time. Hani, Mohammed, Kamal and David (my driver) were very professional and very knowledgeable, I appreciate how respectful they were and how protective they were with me.

They show me everything I wanted to see in Cairo and nearby places like Saqqara, Memphis, etc. Thanks to them I had a great time in Egypt, they were so so helpful than on my second day they helped me to move from my hotel in Giza to the Steigenberger hotel in downtown Cairo.

The tour price is super good includes a guide (expert in the field) a driver, lunch and drinks, they took me to amazing places for lunch, the food was super super delicious, for a foodie like me that was a highlight. We went out fo the tourist traps and I got to see the Cairo that if you are in a bus tour you will never get to see.

This tour is personalized for each person depending of what you want to see and do, I absolutely love it.

I used WhatsApp to communicate with Hani and arranged all my tours, Hani was super super nice since the moment I contacted him and explained him what I wanted to do and see.

Hani and his group mesmerized me with the tours they put together, this is a memory I will keep for lifetime.

I had only good things to say about them and I highly recommend them.

I did visit the pyramids in Giza, downtown Cairo, new Cairo, several museums, Coptic Cairo and Muslim Cairo with them and I learned a lot from them, I felt like they were family to me and it was EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT.

If I go back to Egypt I will hire them again without hesitation.

David I take my hat off for you because I have NO IDEA how you can drive in crazy Cairo, thanks to all of you for making this lady’s dream a reality.
