Giza Pyramids Complex

The Giza Plateau became home to the Giza Pyramids during the Old Dynasty (2686–2134 BC). They preserve the indestructible legacy of ancient Egypt’s great monarchs.

The Great Pyramid

King Khufu (2609 BC – 2584 BC) built the enormous Giza Pyramid to reach the heavens. Khufu’s royal vizier, Hemiunu, designed it. It used 2.3 million limestone pieces weighing 6 million tonnes. Its overall height reaches 147 meters. The main chamber holds the Queen’s chamber, the King’s chamber, the enormous gap, the grand hall, and several other rooms.

Great Sphinx

The enormous Sphinx, also known as Horus of the Horizon, symbolizes strength and knowledge. It holds Pharaoh Khafre’s soul (2558 BC – 2532 BC). It watches over ancient Egypt’s timeless marvels. The epic dream Steele of Thutmose IV, added around 1401 BC, sits between the Sphinx’s legs.

The Valley Temple

The magnificent Valley Temple was built for religious rituals, like mummification. These rites helped people pass through the gate of heaven. Funeral rites for every member of the 4th dynasty were held in this enormous temple. Next, enjoy a leisurely lunch at a local eatery. Afterward, your tour guide takes you to:

Step Pyramid of Saqqara

The Primal Saqqara Step Pyramid is a remarkable structure. It marked the beginning of pyramid building’s golden age. The internationally renowned architect Imhotep designed it for King Djoser (2649 BC – 2611 BC). It has six steps, towering 62 meters high. Finally, transfer to a 5-star hotel in Cairo for the night. Food: Lunch Accommodation: Overnight at a Cairo hotel

Day 2: Old Cairo Day Trip

After breakfast, you check out. Then, your tour guide takes you to explore the following Cairo tourist attractions:

The Egyptian Museum

The Egyptian Museum, a golden treasure house, was built in Cairo in 1901 AD. It preserves and showcases the most magnificent collection of historic relics and monuments from ancient Egypt.

For lunch, a local eatery in Cairo provides your meal. After lunch, you visit:

Citadel of Salah El Din

The formidable Cairo Citadel was built between 1176 and 1182 AD. This spectacular castle sits on Cairo’s highest point, offering panoramic city views. It holds several magnificent art pieces and architectural wonders, including mosques and enchanting museums.

Mosque of Mohamed Ali

The magnificent “Alabaster Mosque” was built within Cairo’s great fortress between 1830 and 1848 AD. Its walls consist entirely of pure alabaster taken directly from the great pyramids of Giza. Today, this mosque is a prime example of Ottoman architecture.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) reopened to the public in 2020. It houses and exhibits some of the oldest and most magical artifacts and monuments. The imposing museum also features the Hall of Mummies. This hall contains the remains of 28 royal kings and queens from ancient Egypt’s long history.

Al Muizz Street

In the 10th century AD, the golden history of the Islamic era came into existence. It is in the center of the enchanted city of marvels and minarets, near the captivating Khan El Khalili market. The heavenly cultural street of Al-Muizz highlights this history. This amazing area teems with lively eateries and genuine cultural events.
