6-Day Cairo Tours Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo

Arrive at Cairo Airport, where Egypt Fun Tours will assist you with passport control and luggage identification. After that, you will be transferred to your hotel in a private, air-conditioned car. Check-in and enjoy your overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 2: Giza pyramids and The Grand Egyptian Museum

Begin your day with a comfortable pick-up from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle, setting the stage for an exciting journey through Egypt’s rich history. Arrive at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, where knowledgeable guides will lead you through over 50,000 artifacts, including the Royal Mummies. Engage with interactive exhibits that vividly portray the daily lives and monumental achievements of the ancient Egyptians.

After a delightful lunch at a local restaurant featuring traditional Egyptian cuisine, head to the Giza Plateau to explore the iconic Giza Pyramids. Discover the grandeur of the Great Pyramid and the enigmatic Sphinx, learning about their historical significance from your guide. For an unforgettable experience, consider an optional camel ride around the pyramids for a unique perspective of this ancient site.

Day 3: Dahshur, Saqqara & Memphis

Meet your guide in the hotel lobby and transfer to the Dahshur Pyramids. Explore the pyramids of King Senefru, the founder of the 4th dynasty, and enter the Red Pyramid. Next, head to Saqqara to see the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the Imhotep Museum, and the tomb of Ka-Gemini. You will also have the opportunity to enter the Pyramid of King Titi to view the pyramid texts.

Afterward, visit Memphis to see the museum, featuring the statues of King Ramses II and the Sphinx of Hatshepsut.

Day 4: Cairo Sightseeing (Cairo Museum, Downtown, Khan El-Khalili)

After breakfast, meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel. Drive to the Cairo Museum to explore its treasures, including over 120,000 artworks from ancient Egypt and the collection of King Tut. Continue to Downtown Cairo, then visit the bustling Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, where you can also see the Al-Azhar Mosque. Return to your hotel afterward.

Day 5: Islamic & Coptic Cairo

Following breakfast, meet your guide in the hotel lobby and transfer to Coptic Cairo. Discover ancient churches, the Ben Ezra Synagogue, and the Coptic Museum. Continue to the Amr Ibn El-Aas Mosque, the oldest mosque in Egypt, for a photo opportunity. Enjoy lunch at a restaurant along the Nile.

Afterward, visit the Citadel of Saladin. Explore the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali Pasha and the Gawhara Palace, enjoying panoramic views of Cairo. Next, visit the Ahmed Ibn Tulun Mosque, the third oldest mosque in Egypt, and the Gayer Anderson Museum. Return to your hotel afterward.
