Wonderful Cairo and Abu Simbel Tours from Luxor

Wonderful Cairo and Abu Simbel tours from Luxor for 2 days discovering the wonders of ancient and modern Egypt. Imagine experiencing the magnificent cities of Cairo and Aswan in just two days, where history was produced in the shape of colossal structures like the enormous pyramids and the heavenly Abu Simbel temple. You will get the chance to witness the most accurate picture of our nation’s beauty and wonder on our two-day Cairo and Abu Simbel excursion from Luxor, as well as create treasured memories that will last a lifetime.

Day 1: Take a Plane from Luxor to Cairo

We will pick you up from your Luxor hotel or Nile cruise and transport you to Luxor Airport. Once you arrive in Cairo, our representative will meet you and take you to your tour guide. Afterward, you will begin your two-day Cairo and Abu Simbel trip from Luxor by exploring:

Giza Pyramids Complex

The Giza Pyramids Complex offers a stunning glimpse into ancient Egypt. This site dates back over 4,000 years and comprises three major pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the solitary guardian—the Great Sphinx—and the Valley Temple.

The Great Pyramid of Giza

The Great Pyramid is one of the oldest and largest structures in the world. Constructed in 2580 BC, it has stood for over 4,500 years. Builders completed it in 20 years using 2,300,000 limestone blocks. Today, it stands at a height of 147 meters (481 feet). For 3,800 years, it held the title of the tallest building in the world until the 18th century.

The Great Sphinx of Giza

The Great Sphinx is a mysterious guardian figure that emerged during Egypt’s Old Kingdom (2686-2181 BC). As the oldest statue in history, it stands 73 meters (240 feet) tall and 19 meters (66 feet) wide. This mythical creature features the body of a lion and the head of King Khafre, symbolizing his power and wisdom.

The Valley Temple

The Valley Temple is one of the best-preserved archaeological sites in ancient Egypt. Constructed entirely of limestone and granite, it features diorite sculptures of Chephren. Dating back to the Old Kingdom, it showcases the impressive craftsmanship of that era. After your tour, lunch will be provided at a restaurant with a view of the Pyramids and the Nile. Following lunch, you will visit:

The Egyptian Museum

The Egyptian Museum houses over 120,000 rare ancient Egyptian artifacts dating back over 4,000 years from various periods. You will find lavish materials such as gold and precious gems in the form of jewelry and small figures, as well as more ordinary materials like wood and stone used for statues and funerary objects. The most popular treasures include those of King Tutankhamun and Ramses II, along with several mummies on exhibit. Then, it’s off to Cairo Airport, where you’ll travel to Aswan. After arriving, you will settle into your 5-star hotel for the night.

Day 2: Visit Abu Simbel’s Two Temples

On your second day, take your breakfast boxes and check out of the hotel. Afterward, you will continue (by Car) your 2-day travel from Cairo to Abu Simbel by visiting:

Temples of Abu Simbel

The two enormous temples of Abu Simbel were a heavenly gift to Ramses the Great (1279-1213 BCE). He built them to guard the southern boundary under the name “Temple of Ramesses, cherished by Amun.” The main temple is dedicated to Ramses II, while the second temple is dedicated to his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari. Each year, the Sun Festival occurs on February 22nd and October 22nd.

During this festival, the sun shines on the faces of the four seated statues of Ramses II, Ptah (God of Creation), Amun (the Creator God), and Ra (the Sun God). After your visit, you will return to Aswan for lunch. Finally, you will board the train to Luxor, concluding your two-day Cairo and Abu Simbel trip.
