We contacted Egypt Fun Tours via email about a slightly customized Nile Cruise tour, and they promptly responded with an itinerary that met our exact needs. We went back and forth with a few more questions, and they were perfect about responding and answering all our queries.
Our trip was a 5-day/night tour, including the sights of Cairo, and a river cruise down the Nile from Aswan to Luxor, seeing the key Pharonic sights in between, with the sleeper train back to Cairo, for a final day visiting the museum, the Coptic churches, and the Khan El Khalili souq.
Our guide, Mohamed, who is also one of the owners of Egypt Fun Tours, was fantastic. Very nice and super knowledgeable – he’s an expert in ancient Egyptian history and was really good at explaining the nuances of the hieroglyphics, the Egyptian gods, etc. He was very good with our children and very helpful in helping us get some good deals in the souq.
All aspects of our tour were nice and as planned (even though we arrived a bit late on the first day due to a flight delay). Our cruise ship, the ‘Al Kahila’, was also nice – a very relaxing way to travel. Egypt itself, especially the Nile cruise part of the itinerary, was beautiful and fascinating, better than I had expected. The sights in Cairo were good too, and the traffic was not quite as bad as I had feared – perhaps because we were there over the Eid holiday.
To sum up, we’ll be recommending Egypt Fun Tours to any friends traveling to Egypt. Thumbs up!
