Enjoy a day trip from Aswan to the temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo. This tour takes you along the Nile River to explore the art and tales of ancient Egyptian civilization. Egypt Fun Tours provides excellent services, including a knowledgeable tour guide and a private, air-conditioned vehicle. You will be picked up from your hotel or Nile cruise in Aswan and, after the tour, we will transport you back. This trip offers a chance to see two of Egypt’s most famous temples in one day.

Aswan to Edfu & Kom Ombo Day Tour

An “Egypt Fun Tours” representative will pick you up from your Aswan hotel or Nile cruise. You’ll begin your day tour with a visit to the Kom Ombo Temple.

Kom Ombo Temple

This unique temple stands on high ground overlooking the Nile. It differs from other temples because it has a double entrance. One side is dedicated to “Haroeris,” a deity with a falcon head, and the other honors “Sobek,” who has a crocodile head. Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant in Luxor. Then, you’ll cross the Nile to Edfu to visit the Edfu Temple.

Edfu Temple

The Edfu Temple is considered the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt. According to ancient Egyptian mythology, the falcon-headed god Horus revenged his father, Osiris, by killing Seth here. Finally, we will drive you back to your hotel or Nile cruise in Aswan, concluding your tour.

I was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism of this tour company. I emailed to inquire about the Cairo layover tour about 30 hours before my flight was scheduled to leave from New York. I was pleasantly surprised to get a quick response confirming the tour and assuring that a guide

In April 2011, my husband and I, after great debate, took a trip to Egypt. Because of the political situation, we decided to book a tour for our time in Cairo and Luxor. We are very happy that we did, since these are two cities that should not be missed.

Pyramids in the Mist, Egypt Adventure

Our long drive from Cairo turned into a terrifying flight through Alexandria’s impossibly crowded streets. Our minivan miraculously avoided hitting pedestrians, donkey carts, and old Lada cars. We arrived at the port gates with only 10 minutes to spare. But the guards ignored our U.S. passports, and they refused to
