Tour Itinerary
Aswan and Abu Simbel from Makadi Bay Itinerary
Day One: Travel to Aswan from Makadi Bay
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Makadi Bay by A.C car and head to Luxor where you will board your 1st class Aswan train. At the moment of your arrival in Aswan, you will meet your private Egyptologist tour guide and begin your Makadi Bay excursion to Aswan & Abu Simbel in two days tour by visiting all of Aswan’s attractions such as:
The High Dam
An amazing piece of architecture is located in Aswan built by Egyptian and Russian hands between 1960 and 1970 to launch a new era of progress, prosperity, and innovation by controlling the Nile floodwaters for irrigation and producing Hydroelectricity.
The Unfinished Obelisk
A one-of-a-kind piece of art that never came to be is the unfinished obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) which was destined to stand at the Karnak temple’s entrance. It is 42 m high and weighs 1200 tons but was sadly cracked during construction.
Philae Temple
The epic Myth of Osiris has survived for infinite ages thanks to the beautiful mesmerizing Philae temple that was built between 380-362 BC to honor Isis the deity of motherhood. UNESCO transported the temple to Agilkia Island in the 60s as part of a rescue operation along with the Abu Simbel temples.
You will have your lunch and then check in at a 5* hotel in Aswan for the overnight.
Day Two: Tour to Abu Simbel Temples
In the morning, you will grab your breakfast boxes then check out of your hotel and head with your private tour guide to continue your Makadi Bay excursion to Aswan & Abu Simbel in two days tour by heading to:
Abu Simbel Temples
The first Abu Simbel temple is a living example of the grandeur and architectural brilliance created by the vision and hands of Ramses II (1279-1213 BCE) from 1264 BC to 1244 BC to immortalize his victorious legacy and host the divine sun festival on the 22 of February & October annually. The second temple is dedicated to his loyal beloved wife Queen Nefertari.
