Tour Itinerary
Detailed itinerary of Cairo and Luxor from Alexandria Port for 2 Days
Day 1: Explore Luxor’s Treasures: A representative from “Egypt Fun Tours” will pick you up from your cruise ship at Alexandria Port and take you to Cairo airport so you can fly to Luxor. Your tour guide and a private air-conditioned car will meet you in Luxor and take you to see:
The Kings’ Valley: The timeless and majestic legacy of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs, which extends back to the new kingdom (1570–1050 BC), is preserved in the Valley of the Kings, an ancient Egyptian tomb. The 63 royal tombs of the most illustrious ancient Egyptian kings, including Ramses II, Hatshepsut, Seti I, and Tutankhamun, are located in the Valley of the Kings. These tombs are packed with golden jewels and the most beautiful décor.
Temple of Hatshepsut: To celebrate the enduring memory of one of the most remarkable and revered queens in the annals of ancient Egypt, the holy of holies temple of Queen Hatshepsut (1507-1458 BC), the priestess wife of the sun god Amun, was built. The temple now has the supernatural capacity to illuminate the traditional Egyptian architectural style.
Memnon’s Colossi: The eternal Colossi of Memnon was built in 1350 BC by Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1391–1353 BC), and they have undergone several renovations throughout history, particularly during the Greco–Roman era.
After that, go to an island for lunch. As a result, your tour also includes a boat ride down the Nile River and visits to:
Temple of Karnak: The holy Karnak Temple Complex, also known as the Pr-Imn House of Amun, is regarded as one of the most sacred sites in existence, holding the deepest aspirations and religious recollections of the ancient Egyptians.
It was constructed on 247 acres of land to commemorate the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu between the years 2000 BC and 30 AD. There were also other shrines dedicated to various Osiris, Mut, and Hathor deities.
The Avenue of Sphinxes, which connects the magnificent Luxor Temple, the enormous hypostyle hall, the temple of Amun, and many other parts of the complex, is the temple’s most captivating architectural feature. After that, you’ll be taken to a five-star hotel for the night.

Day 2: Examine the Pyramids of Egypt: Check out of the hotel after breakfast and board a flight for Cairo, where you will meet your Egyptologist tour guide to visit:
Giza Pyramids Complex: The legendary Giza Pyramids were built about 2700 BC, when the ancient Egyptian aristocracy wished to aim for the highest reaches of the skies and occupy their proper position among the great gods of ancient Egypt, including:
The Great Pyramid: Pharaoh Khufu (2609 BC – 2584 BC), who was able to build the last surviving example of the seven wonders of the ancient world, left behind the Great Pyramid of Giza, an indelible legacy. Utilizing 2.3 million limestone pieces totaling roughly six million tonnes in weight, it rises to a height of 147 meters.
The inside of the Great Giza pyramid, which includes the King’s chamber, the grand hall, the Queen’s chamber, and several more yet-to-be-examined chambers, is its most distinctive feature.
The Great Sphinx: The fabled Sphinx is a cosmic representation of absolute power and wisdom that displays the indelible features of Pharaoh Khafre (2558–2532 BC), who served as a watchman over all the enormous wonders of ancient Egypt, as well as the mythical dream Steele of Thutmose IV, which was erected there in 1401 BC, between its legs.
The Valley Temple: The 4th dynasty’s kings and queens’ remains were all mummified according to religious custom at the unusual Valley temple, which was established around 2600 BC. This was done so that each of them might find their way to the afterlife.
Take in a delicious lunch at a restaurant in Cairo before continuing your journey by going to one of the renowned museums in Egypt:
The Egyptian Museum: The Egyptian Museum, the first building of its sort in all of Egypt, was constructed in the heart of Cairo in 1901 AD to provide visitors from all over the globe with the opportunity to examine all the historical riches of ancient Egypt.
In the evening, a private air-conditioned car will transport you to Alexandria Port.
