Detailed itinerary of Cairo and Luxor from Marsa Alam for 2 Days
Day 1: Travel to Luxor and explore the city’s attractions: We will pick you up from your Marsa Alam hotel in a private air-conditioned modern vehicle to take you to Cairo and Luxor. When you arrive in Luxor, you will be greeted by your private tour guide, who will accompany you to the famous historical sites such as:
The Valley of Kings
It is the final resting place of Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to the 20th dynasties, and it contains tombs of the great pharaoh Ramses II and boy pharaoh Tutankhamun. The tombs were well-stocked with all the material goods that a ruler might require in the afterlife. The majority of the decoration inside the tombs has survived.
Temple of Hatshepsut
It is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved temples in Ancient Egypt. The temple was built on three levels, with two wide ramps connecting them in the center.
Memnon’s Colossi
The only remnants of a complete mortuary temple are two massive stone statues of King Amenhotep III. The statues are made from blocks of quartzite sandstone found in Cairo and transported 700 kilometers to Luxor.
Then proceed to an island for lunch, so your tour includes a boat ride on the Nile River followed by a visit to:
Temple of Karnak
