Tour Itinerary

Detailed itinerary of the 6-Day Cheap Holiday to The Highlights of Egypt

Day 1: Arrival in the Land of the Pharaohs, Egypt: Our “Egypt Fun Tours” employee will be waiting for you at Cairo Airport from the moment you arrive safely in this country and will assist you with all passport control procedures as well as luggage identification and carrying. You will be driven directly from the airport to your reserved 5* hotel for check-in using a private air-conditioned car. As you unwind and enjoy a vibrant belly dancing performance with a folklore band that features the stunning Tannoura spin in keeping with Egypt’s whirling dervishes’ heritage, you will start your inexpensive vacation in Egypt in the evening. Then, you will return to your hotel for the night.

Day 2: Take in the Beautiful Artwork of the Egyptian Pyramids: After breakfast in the morning, check out of the hotel and meet your private Egyptologist tour guide to begin your affordable Cairo and Nile holiday by touring one of the Seven Wonders of the World:

The Giza Pyramids

Your first stop will be the Giza Pyramids Complex, one of the world’s oldest structures that has been standing there for the past four thousand years. Six smaller pyramids, the magnificent Sphinx, the Valley Temple, and three great pyramids make up the Giza complex.

The Khufu Great Pyramid

It is a must-see attraction since it is both one of the largest structures in the world and the final remaining piece of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It is more than 4500 years old and dates to 2580 BC. With a staff of 100,000 free skilled laborers and 2,300,000 2.5-ton chunks of limestone, the Great Pyramid was built in 20 years. At 147 meters (481 feet), it held the record for the tallest building in the world for 3800 years, until the Lincoln Cathedral in England was built in 1311.

Chephren’s Great Sphinx

Due to its enormous size and grandeur, it is a unique statue on the globe. Its design is based on the mythical creature known as the Sphinx, which had the body of a lion and the head of a man, most likely King Khafre, to symbolize strength and knowledge. The Arabic name for it is Abu Al-Hawl, which translates to “The Father of Terror.” The Sphinx was cut out of single limestone rock and stands 73 meters (240 feet) tall and 19 meters (66 feet) wide. Its origin and antiquity are steeped in mystery, just like the Great Pyramid, and many questions remain unsolved.

The Valley Temple

the location where mummification took place. The valley was built during Egypt’s Old Kingdom (2686 2134 BC). It is one of the best-preserved remains of ancient Egyptian architecture and a wealth of knowledge about ancient Egyptian mummification may be found there. Beautiful diorite statues of King Khafra may be found in the valley, which is entirely constructed of limestone and granite.

After eating lunch with a view of the Pyramids or the Nile, continue on to:

The Egyptian Museum

It differs from other museums in that it houses the largest collection of authentic ancient Egyptian artifacts and monuments in the world, dating back over 4,000 years to all of ancient Egypt’s eras. Inside the two-story structure are more than 150,000 artifacts made of expensive materials like gold and gemstones to simple ones like wood or stone that take the form of statues, funerary items, and supplies like King Tutankhamun’s treasures.

Transfer to Cairo Airport in the evening for your Aswan trip. Upon arrival, take a 5-star luxury Nile cruise and spend the night there.

Day 3: Let Aswan’s scenic splendors free your spirit: The most well-known Aswan tourist attractions should be visited first thing in the morning after breakfast aboard the boat, starting with:

The High Dam

One of Aswan’s few new attractions is the High Dam, which was built between 1960 and 1970 under Gamal Adel-Nasser. The dam was created with the aid of the Moscow-based Hydro Project Institute in order to provide hydroelectric power while also providing improved water storage for irrigation in its reservoir lake Nasser.

The Unfinished Obelisk

One of Aswan’s most distinctive landmarks is the Unfinished Obelisk, which was built at the request of Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC) to stand alongside the Lateran Obelisk, which is now located at the Lateran Palace in Rome, at the entrance of the Karnak temple. The structure, known as “Tekhenu,” which means “Pierce the Sky” and demonstrates how obelisks were constructed using ancient Egyptian building techniques, was 42 meters tall and weighed 1200 tonnes. The obelisk was sadly fractured during construction and has stayed there to this day.

Temple of Philae

The “Myth of Osiris,” who is said to be Isis’ husband, is displayed in Philea Temple, the legendary temple of the goddess Isis of Love and Beauty. Osiris is resurrected to govern the underworld after being killed by his brother Set out of pure enmity and jealousy. Seth is subsequently vanquished by Isis and Osiris Son Hours the Sky God. Following the construction of the Aswan High Dam, the temple was moved in the 1960s to the island of Agilkia as part of a rescue operation coordinated by UNESCO.

sailing and spending the night at sea.

Day 4: Study the Background of the Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples: You will travel on the fourth day to:

Temple of Kom Ombo

“The Hill Of Gold” is what Kom Ombo signifies. Between 205 BC and 180 BC, during Ptolemy V’s rule, it was built during the Greco-Roman era. The temple’s peculiar double design, which is divided into two similar sectors—one for the crocodile god Sobek and the other for the falcon sky god Horus—is what makes it special. You will then keep sailing to:

Edfu temple

One of the final temples ever constructed during the Ptolemaic period, between 237 BC and 57 BC, to serve as the designated place of devotion for the sky god Horus is the Edfu Temple. According to the Osiris Myth, it is thought to have been constructed on the same site where the battle between the demon god Set and Horus occurred. It was discovered after being unearthed in 1860 by French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette. The Edfu Temple’s architecture and interior are stunning because they expertly combine Greek and Egyptian design.

You will keep sailing until you get to Luxor, where you will spend the night on board after arriving at night.

Day 5: Explore Luxor’s Glorious History of the Pharaohs: After breakfast, check out. Your tour guide and a private air-conditioned vehicle will next accompany you as you finish your inexpensive vacation in Egypt by touring the sights of Luxor, beginning with:

The Kings’ Valley

Without visiting the Valley of the Kings, which served as the greatest kings and queens of Egypt’s New Kingdom’s ultimate resting place, your Cairo and Nile Cruise inexpensive vacation would not be complete (1570-1070 BC). Due to its significance and beauty, the valley was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979. There are 63 tombs there, each containing enthralling jewels, antiques, statues, mesmerizing décor, and the remains of pharaohs like Amenhotep I, Hatshepsut, and the well-known boy-king Tutankhamun.

Temple of Hatshepsut

The name Djoser-Djeseru (Holy of Holies) refers to the Hatshepsut Temple, which reflects the grandeur of the new monarchy (1550–1070 BC) and exemplifies the vision and greatness of Queen Hatshepsut, one of the most successful monarchs in the annals of Ancient Egypt. The temple took 15 years to build after being conceived in 1479 BC. The temple’s structure is based on the idea of classical architecture and houses some of Egypt’s most stunning statues, decorations, and works of art.

Memnon’s Colossi

The two pieces of quartzite sandstone that make up the Colossi of Memnon, also known as the enormous defenders of Luxor, stand at a height of 18 meters (60 feet), weighing 720 tonnes each, and are shaped like Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1386-1350). A significant earthquake that occurred in 27 BC devastated the Colossi, but they were later reconstructed in 199 AD. The Vocal Memnon, which was nothing more than the sound of the wind blowing through the statue, caused by the statues occasionally singing at dawn earned them fame during the Greco-Roman era.

After that, proceed to an island for lunch so that your tour will also include a boat ride down the Nile River. Finish your journey with a visit to:

Karnak Temple

One of the rare locations, the Ipet-Isu temple in Karnak, has withstood the sands of time. The Most Selected of Places and Pr-Imn House of Amon is the oldest religious man-made structure in the world, dating back more than 4,000 years. For more than 1500 years, the Theban triad—God Amun, his wife, the Goddess of Justice Mut, and his son, the Moon God Khnsou—as well as other gods including the Great Osiris, Montu, Ptah, and Isis—were the focus of religious worship for the whole ancient Egyptian country.

Transfer to the airport in Luxor to catch the overnight flight to Cairo.

Day 6: Conclude Your 6-Day Cheap Holiday to The Highlights of Egypt: After breakfast at the hotel, our representative will drive you to the Cairo Airport and help you with the final departure procedures to bring your inexpensive trip to Cairo and the Nile to a close.

What People Say About Us
5/5

Thank you Egypt Fun Tours for a most memorable trip. I admit I didn’t do any of the planning (it was all done by my boyfriend) but as you can read in the reviews below Hani (the owner of Egypt Fun Tours) is superbly organized and accommodating with scheduling.

My boyfriend and I, and our dearest mutual friend, booked the 7Days-6Nights tour. In short time, we visited Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor sailing down the down the Nile, pit stopping to see key sites at these location – and so much more!!! We got to know the ancient and modern egypt in depth thanks to Hani’s impressive knowledge. He also enlightened us on the people and their beliefs and went as far as showing us what a typical life looks like. I cannot express the level of personalized service Hani offered us. He was flexible to adapt to our requirements and added sites to our schedule that was not part of the tour simply to ensure we were 100% satisfied with our experience in Egypt.

I went to Egypt practically blind-folded, not knowing what to expect, especially considering the time we had decided to go (December 2020 – we were the first group that Hani met with after months of having to put his tour agency on hold considering the pandemic) yet he managed to surpass all of our expectations. I felt so incredibly lucky for us to have stumbled on Hani. I would recommend Egypt Fun Tours to anyone and everyone. It was truly, HANDS DOWN, the best cultural experience I’ve ever had. You’ll be in the best of hands.

Hamada was incredible! So knowledgeable and kind. He had information about every item, street corner, and relic we looked at. Any questions we had, he had answers! He even made sure to give us tips while walking through the crowds so that’s we would feel more comfortable when being approached by vendors. Oh and the food?! He took us to the best places! Delicious food!! We tried Egyptian fried chicken, falafel for the first time, the best shawarma in the city (we love food). We even got to meet his beautiful wife and children and try some “French” Egyptian coffee in their home! Truly made friends for life!! We’ve promised to host him and the family when they travel to America for the first time! Such an incredible experience, and Hamada (and family) made it that much more memorable and amazing!

Excellent trip to historic sites with no one else around. We came to see Egypt while most places still had COVID19 fears. The staff at Egypt Fun Tours were professional, safe, and great to deal with. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and entertaining. I feel like I just got a a year of Egyptology in the last week and we had all the sites to ourselves due to COVID19. While people are shutting down and staying home you should feel safe to come explore with Egypt Fun Tours and have the place to yourself.
