1st day: Travel to Luxor and Explore the City’s Tourist Attractions
In the morning, we will drive you from your Marsa Alam hotel to the ancient city of Luxor. Escorted by your personal Egyptologist guide, you will explore the most prominent Luxor tourist sites, including:
The Valley of the Kings:
This site is the ultimate resting place of Egypt’s kings from the 18th to the 20th dynasties. It contains tombs of renowned pharaohs, such as Ramses II and the young Tutankhamun. The tombs were well-stocked with all the material items a monarch might want in the afterlife. Most of the ornamentation within the graves has survived remarkably well.
Temple of Hatshepsut:
This stands as one of the most magnificent and well-preserved temples in Ancient Egypt. Builders erected the temple on three levels, with two large ramps connecting them in the center.
Memnon’s Colossi: The sole remnants of a complete funerary temple are two huge stone sculptures of King Amenhotep III. Workers built the sculptures from pieces of quartzite sandstone found in Cairo and transported them 700 kilometers to Luxor.
Lunch will be served at the Egyptian Nile View Restaurant, followed by a tour of the following locations:
Temple of Karnak:
Karnak is Egypt’s most spectacular site. It is the world’s biggest temple complex, representing the culmination of several generations of ancient builders and Pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak consists of three principal temples spread over 247 acres of land.
At the conclusion of the day, take your first-class train from Luxor station to Aswan. Upon arrival, one of our employees will transport you to your Aswan 5-star hotel for the night.
2nd day: Tour of Abu Simbel – Flight to Cairo
Get your breakfast box from your hotel early in the morning, then join your private tour guide for a private guided trip to one of the top Aswan tourist spots:
Temples of Abu Simbel: The two Temples of Abu Simbel, with their distinct architecture, are regarded as ancient Egypt’s greatest masterpieces. Workers carved these rock-cut temples during King Ramses II’s reign around 1200 B.C. The first temple dedicates itself to King Ramses II, and the second to his loving wife, Queen Nefertari. The sculptures and artwork that adorn both temples are breathtaking. With hand-carved pillars, wall murals, sculptures, statues, and much more, this is a must-see location.
Return to Aswan by vehicle for lunch, then fly to Cairo and spend the night at a 5-star hotel.
Day 3: Cairo Attractions Tour – Return to Marsa Alam
After breakfast, check out and meet your Egyptologist tour guide, who will take you to experience Cairo’s major landmarks, beginning with:
Pyramids of Giza Complex: The complex consists of three major pyramids, six small pyramids, the Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. Builders constructed the structure during the 4th dynasty, 2400 years ago.
The Great Pyramid of Giza: The Great Pyramid belongs to King Khufu. It is the oldest and biggest of the three pyramids on the Giza plateau, and the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World to have survived intact. The enormous pyramid is 147 meters tall, required 2,300,000 stones for its construction, and took twenty years to complete.
Sphinx of Giza:
King Chephren owns the Great Sphinx. It is the world’s biggest statue, measuring 73 meters long, 19 meters broad, and 20 meters tall. It is the world’s oldest monumental sculpture.
The Valley Temple:
The sole extant granite funerary temple Ancient Egyptians used for mummification on the Giza plateau.
The Pyramids/Nile View restaurant will serve lunch. Then, go to:
The Egyptian Museum:
The Egyptian Museum has a remarkable collection of art dating back 5000 years. Almost 250,000 real objects are on display, including an exhibit devoted to Tutankhamun’s wealth, gold, and jewelry collection, which remained in his tomb for over 3,500 years.
Finally, you will fly to Hurghada. From there, a private air-conditioned car will transfer you to your accommodation in Marsa Alam, concluding your Marsa Alam excursions.
