Tour Itinerary

Detailed itinerary of the 12 Days Standard Tour Package of Egypt and Hurghada

The first day begins with your arrival in Egypt.

When you arrive at Cairo Airport, our representative will help you with passport control, luggage identification, and portage. You will be driven to your hotel for check-in in a private A/C car from the airport. We will pick you up from your hotel in the evening for a Dinner Cruise, where you will sit back and relax while watching a colorful belly dancing show with a folklore band, which will include the unforgettable Tannoura spin, in keeping with Egypt’s whirling dervishes tradition, before being transferred back to your hotel for the night.

Day 2: Visit the Pyramids, Saqqara, and Memphis.

After breakfast, you will meet your private Egyptologist tour guide to begin your 12-day Egypt tour at one of the world’s seven wonders: the Pyramids of Giza.

Giza Pyramids Complex

Three main pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple are all part of the complex. The structure dates from 2400 B.C. when it was built by the 4th dynasty.

The Great Pyramid of Giza

The Great Pyramid, also known as “King Khufu’s Pyramid,” is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids on the Giza Plateau, and the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World to have survived intact. The enormous pyramid stands 147 meters tall, has 2,300,000 stones in its construction, and took twenty years to complete.

[contents h2]

“King Chephren” owns the Great Sphinx. It is the world’s largest statue, measuring 73 meters in length, 19 meters in width, and 20 meters in height. It is the oldest monumental sculpture that has been discovered.

The Valley Temple

This is the only surviving granite funerary temple used by Ancient Egyptians for the mummification procedure on the Giza plateau.

Lunch will be served at a restaurant with a view of the Pyramids or the Nile, after which you will visit:

Step Pyramid of Saqqara

It dates back to the era of King Djoser, who governed Egypt in the 27th century B.C. and is thought to be the earliest large-scale cut-stone building. The 62-meter-high Saqqara step pyramid is made up of six steps stacked on top of one another.

Memphis City

King Menes established it as Egypt’s first capital, and it was strategically located between Upper and Lower Egypt. Memphis was said to be guarded by the god Ptah, who was the god of creation and art.

Finally, we return you to your hotel for the evening.

Day 3: Sightseeing Tour of Cairo

After breakfast, you’ll meet up with your own tour guide to visit some of Cairo’s most popular tourist destinations, including:

The Egyptian Museum

The Egyptian Museum houses a unique 5000-year-old art collection. Nearly 250,000 real ancient Egyptian items are on display, including an exhibit dedicated to King Tutankhamun’s riches, gold, and jewelry, which was kept safe for over 3,500 years in his tomb.

Lunch will be served at a local Cairo restaurant before visiting:

Citadel of Salah El Din

Salah El Din Citadel is a majestic fortification that served as Egypt’s center of government until the 1860s. It was built under the reign of Salah ad-Din. Work on the structure began in 1176 and was finished in 1182.

Mohamed Ali Mosque

The mosque was built between 1830 and 1848 and is known as “The Alabaster Mosque” since the majority of the walls are composed of flawless alabaster. Mohamed Ali Mosque is a copy of Istanbul’s Blue Mosque.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) is a magical link between predynastic Egypt and modern and contemporary Egypt. The museum will use the most advanced museological methods to present all of Egypt’s wonderful art, history, and culture, which dates back over 4000 years, in the simplest and most amazing way possible.

Bazaar of Khan El Khalili

A journey to Cairo is not complete without a stop at the Khan El-Khalili market, the Middle East’s oldest and most famous bazaar. It was built about 970 AD, the same year that Cairo was founded.

We will transfer you back to your Cairo hotel for the night at the end of the day.

Day Four: Fly to Aswan and see the sights.

Enjoy your breakfast in the morning, then check out of your hotel and we will drive you to Cairo airport to catch your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, you will meet your tour guide to continue your 12-day Egypt tour in Aswan by visiting the stunning Aswan tourist attractions, which include:

The High Dam

It was erected between 1960 and 1970 across the Nile River at Aswan, and it has had a profound impact on Egypt’s economy and culture.

The Unfinished Obelisk

Ancient Egypt’s largest obelisk. It was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) to accompany the Lateran Obelisk (originally from Karnak) and afterward transported to Rome’s Lateran Palace.

Temple of Philae

The goddess Isis of Love and Beauty is honored in Philae Temple. As part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign initiative, the temple complex was deconstructed and transported to neighboring Agilkia Island, safeguarding it and other monuments before the Aswan High Dam was completed in 1970.

At the end of the day, we’ll transfer you to a 5* deluxe Nile cruise, where you’ll have lunch and spend the night.

Day 5: Tour of Abu Simbel

Have your breakfast boxes first thing in the morning, then accompany your private tour guide for a visit to one of the world’s most historically significant locations:

Temples of Abu Simbel

The two Temples of Abu Simbel are regarded as marvels of ancient Egypt due to their distinct style. The Temples are rock-cut temples that were created during King Ramses II’s reign in 1200 B.C. King Ramses II is honored in one temple, while his loving wife Queen Nefertari is honored in the other. Both temples are adorned with magnificent sculptures and artwork. This temple has hand-carved pillars, wall murals, sculptures, statues, and much more.

Return to your cruise for lunch, then begin sailing and spend the night.

Day 6: Visit the Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples

After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of the following locations:

Temple of Kom Ombo

A temple with a view of the Nile. The Kom Ombo Temple is split into two temples, each with two entrances, two hypostyle halls, and two sanctuaries. Continue your journey to:

Edfu temple

Dedicated to Horus, the Egyptian god. Edfu Temple is Egypt’s best-preserved Greco-Roman temple, with a “Play” depicting Horus’ victory over the wicked god Seth painted on its walls.

Have lunch on board and then sail to Luxor, arriving late at night and spending the night on board.

Day 7: Visit Luxor’s East Bank Attractions/Fly to Hurghada

After breakfast, disembark and check out from the Nile cruise at 8:00 a.m. Then continue your journey with your personalized tour guide by viewing Luxor tourism spots such as:

Karnak Temple

No other Egyptian landmark is more impressive than Karnak, which is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Egypt. It is the world’s largest temple complex, and it represents the labor of many generations of ancient builders and Pharaohs. On 247 acres of land, Karnak Temple consists of three main temples, smaller walled temples, and other peripheral temples.

The Kings’ Valley

The tombs of Egypt’s monarchs from the 18th to the 20th dynasties can be found here, including those of the renowned pharaoh Ramses II and Tutankhamun. The tombs were well-stocked with everything a monarch may require in the afterlife. The majority of the tombs’ interior decoration is still in good condition.

Temple of Hatshepsut

Of all the Ancient Egyptian temples, it is one of the most magnificent and well-preserved. The temple was constructed on three levels, with two large ramps connecting the floors in the center.

Memnon’s Colossi

The only remnants of a complete funerary temple are two huge stone statues of King Amenhotep III. The statues are fashioned from quartzite sandstone blocks found in Cairo and transported 700 kilometers to Luxor.

During the tour, lunch will be given at a Nile view restaurant, followed by transport to Hurghada, where you will check into a 5* hotel for the night.

Excursion to Hurghada for Snorkeling on Day Eight

Take advantage of Hurghada’s wonderful warm weather by going snorkeling in the Red Sea, where you may marvel at the vivid colors, unusual shapes, and psychedelic patterns while observing the fish, coral, and plants.

Day Nine: Hurghada Safari Trip

A guided safari tour in Hurghada provides an incredible adventure. Cross the mighty sand dunes on a quad bike, discover the mysteries of a traditional Bedouin village and learn about their lives and traditions, ride a camel and witness the amazing sunset view with a barbeque dinner, mineral water, and soft drinks, and then enjoy watching the stars by night while driving back from the Bedouin village to your Hurghada hotel.

Day ten: Hurghada Free day

You have the entire day to yourself to explore Hurghada. Hurghada is where you’ll spend the night.

Eleventh day: Hurghada to Cairo

Enjoy your breakfast and afternoon before being transferred to Hurghada airport for your journey to Cairo, where you will be met and transferred to a 5-star hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 12: The Final Day of Your 12 Days Standard Tour Package of Egypt and Hurghada

What People Say About Us
5/5

Thank you Egypt Fun Tours for a most memorable trip. I admit I didn’t do any of the planning (it was all done by my boyfriend) but as you can read in the reviews below Hani (the owner of Egypt Fun Tours) is superbly organized and accommodating with scheduling.

My boyfriend and I, and our dearest mutual friend, booked the 7Days-6Nights tour. In short time, we visited Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor sailing down the down the Nile, pit stopping to see key sites at these location – and so much more!!! We got to know the ancient and modern egypt in depth thanks to Hani’s impressive knowledge. He also enlightened us on the people and their beliefs and went as far as showing us what a typical life looks like. I cannot express the level of personalized service Hani offered us. He was flexible to adapt to our requirements and added sites to our schedule that was not part of the tour simply to ensure we were 100% satisfied with our experience in Egypt.

I went to Egypt practically blind-folded, not knowing what to expect, especially considering the time we had decided to go (December 2020 – we were the first group that Hani met with after months of having to put his tour agency on hold considering the pandemic) yet he managed to surpass all of our expectations. I felt so incredibly lucky for us to have stumbled on Hani. I would recommend Egypt Fun Tours to anyone and everyone. It was truly, HANDS DOWN, the best cultural experience I’ve ever had. You’ll be in the best of hands.

Hamada was incredible! So knowledgeable and kind. He had information about every item, street corner, and relic we looked at. Any questions we had, he had answers! He even made sure to give us tips while walking through the crowds so that’s we would feel more comfortable when being approached by vendors. Oh and the food?! He took us to the best places! Delicious food!! We tried Egyptian fried chicken, falafel for the first time, the best shawarma in the city (we love food). We even got to meet his beautiful wife and children and try some “French” Egyptian coffee in their home! Truly made friends for life!! We’ve promised to host him and the family when they travel to America for the first time! Such an incredible experience, and Hamada (and family) made it that much more memorable and amazing!

Excellent trip to historic sites with no one else around. We came to see Egypt while most places still had COVID19 fears. The staff at Egypt Fun Tours were professional, safe, and great to deal with. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and entertaining. I feel like I just got a a year of Egyptology in the last week and we had all the sites to ourselves due to COVID19. While people are shutting down and staying home you should feel safe to come explore with Egypt Fun Tours and have the place to yourself.
