Egypt Tours 10 Days; The Ultimate Grand Discovery Guide

Egypt Tours 10 Days: The Ultimate Grand Discovery Guide

An 8-day tour is great for the basics. But 10-day Egypt tours are for the true explorer. This duration is the “Grand Tour” of the ancient world. It gives you enough time to see the Nile, the Pyramids, and the Red Sea coast. In 2026, the 10-day format is the top choice for families and honeymooners. At Egypt Fun Tours, we design these trips for balance. You will see every major monument. But you will also have time to relax at a luxury resort.

Why 10 Days is the Best Way to See Egypt

A 10-day trip is the “no-compromise” vacation.

  • The Full Map: You can visit Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Hurghada, or Sharm El Sheikh.
  • Relaxed Pace: You don’t have to rush through the museums. You have time for a slow, 4-night Nile Cruise.
  • Deep Immersion: You can visit local villages and markets. You get to see the real Egypt, not just the tourist sites.

The 10-Day “Nile & Red Sea” Itinerary

Days 1–3: Cairo’s Wonders & The New Museum

  • The Giza Plateau: Stand before the Great Pyramids. Visit the Sphinx at sunrise to beat the crowds.
  • The GEM: Spend a full day at the Grand Egyptian Museum. See the entire collection of King Tutankhamun.
  • Islamic & Coptic Cairo: Walk through the 1,000-year-old streets. Visit the Hanging Church and the Citadel.

The Days 4–7: The Luxury Nile Cruise

  • Fly to Aswan: Board a 5-star cruise ship. Visit the Philae Temple and the Aswan High Dam.
  • Abu Simbel: Take a private morning trip to the sun temples of Ramses II.
  • Sailing the Nile: Stop at Kom Ombo and Edfu. Watch the sunset from the deck of your ship.
  • Luxor’s Majesty: Explore the Valley of the Kings. Visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the massive Karnak Complex.

Days 8–9: Red Sea Relaxation (Hurghada)

  • The Desert Drive: Take a private transfer from Luxor to the Red Sea.
  • Beach Bliss: Spend two days snorkeling or diving. The Red Sea has the clearest water in the world. Enjoy a sunset dinner on the beach.

Day 10: Farewell to the Pharaohs

  • Return to Cairo: Fly from Hurghada to Cairo. Do some final shopping at the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar.
  • Departure: We take you to the airport for your flight home.

Expert Advice for a 10-Day Trip in 2026

To provide the best authority, we share these local secrets.

Choose a 4-Night Cruise over 3-Night Cruise

In a 10-day plan, you have the time. A 4-night cruise from Luxor to Aswan is slower. It gives you more time to enjoy the river views. It also makes the check-in and check-out process much easier.

The Hurghada vs. Sharm El Sheikh Choice

  • Hurghada: Better for those coming from Luxor by car. It has great family resorts.
  • Sharm El Sheikh: Better if you want to climb Mount Sinai. It requires an extra flight from Cairo or Luxor.

Tipping (Baksheesh) for 10 Days

You will interact with more staff on a longer trip.

  • Tour Leader: $10 USD per person per day.
  • Drivers: $5 USD per person per day.
  • Housekeeping: 50 EGP per day.

FAQ: Egypt Tours 10 Days

Is 10 days too long?

Not at all. Egypt has 5,000 years of history. Even in 10 days, you only see the highlights. It is the perfect length to avoid “temple fatigue.”

Can I include Alexandria?

Yes. On a 10-day trip, we can add a day-trip to Alexandria. You would spend 1 less day at the Red Sea.

Is the trip suitable for children?

Yes. The 10-day plan is great for kids. They love the cruise ship and the Red Sea beaches. We include “Junior Egyptologist” guides for families.
