Egypt’s Ultimate 13-Day Guided Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Egypt

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, a representative will meet you to help with passport control and luggage. Then, we will take you to your 5-star hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle for check-in. The rest of the day is yours to relax and get settled in.

Day 2: The Pyramids and Memphis

Your day starts with breakfast at the hotel. Afterward, you’ll travel to the Giza Pyramids Complex. Here you’ll see the Great Pyramid of Cheops, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. You’ll also visit the Great Sphinx, the largest monolithic statue in the world, and the Valley Temple. After a lunch with a view of the pyramids, you’ll head to the Saqqara Step Pyramid, built by King Djoser. The tour continues with a stop at Memphis City, the ancient capital, where you’ll see a statue of King Ramses II. Finally, you’ll return to your hotel in Cairo for the night.

Day 3: Alexandria Landmarks

After breakfast, you’ll take a day trip to Alexandria, known as the “Bride of the Mediterranean.” Your first stop is the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, Egypt’s largest Roman burial site. Then you’ll visit Pompey’s Pillar and the Qaitbay Citadel, which was built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. Lunch will be at a seafood restaurant. The tour concludes with a visit to the famous Library of Alexandria before you return to your hotel in Cairo for the evening.

Day 4: Flight to Luxor and East Bank Highlights

You’ll start your day with breakfast at the hotel before flying to Luxor. Upon arrival, a tour guide will meet you and take you to the Karnak Temple, a massive complex of temples and chapels. Afterward, you’ll check in to your 5-star Nile Cruise ship for lunch. In the evening, you’ll visit the stunning Luxor Temple for its beautiful night show. You will then spend the night on board the cruise.

Day 5: Sailing to Kom Ombo

Enjoy a relaxing day on the cruise as you sail down the Nile. You’ll arrive in Kom Ombo late at night and stay on board.

Day 6: Kom Ombo Temple

After breakfast on board, you will visit the unique Kom Ombo Temple. This temple is dedicated to two sets of gods. Afterward, you’ll sail to Aswan, where you’ll spend the night on the cruise.

Day 7: Abu Simbel Tour

Today begins with an early breakfast. You will take an excursion to Abu Simbel to visit two temples dedicated to Ramses II. The temples are a true architectural marvel. Later, you’ll return to the cruise for lunch and have the rest of the day to relax on board.

Day 8: Aswan Attractions

After breakfast on board, you’ll explore Aswan. First, you’ll see the High Dam, which was built between 1960 and 1970 to help control flooding and provide power. Next, you’ll see the Unfinished Obelisk, which is larger than any other ancient Egyptian obelisk. Finally, you’ll take a short boat trip to the beautiful Philae Temple, which was relocated to save it from the rising waters of the Nile. Afterward, you’ll return to the cruise for the night.

Day 9: Sailing to Edfu

This afternoon, you’ll continue sailing towards Edfu. You’ll arrive late at night and spend the night on the cruise.

Day 10: Edfu Temple

After breakfast, you’ll visit the Edfu Temple, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. Its inscriptions offer great insights into ancient language and religion. Then you’ll return to the cruise ship for the night.

Day 11: Luxor West Bank and Flight to Cairo

After breakfast, you’ll check out of the cruise. You’ll then tour the West Bank of Luxor. Your first stop is the Valley of the Kings, where many pharaohs were buried. Next, you’ll visit the stunning Hatshepsut Temple. Finally, you’ll see the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of King Amenhotep III. After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Cairo. You’ll check in to your 5-star hotel for the night.

Day 12: Cairo Tourist Attractions

Your day begins with breakfast at the hotel. You’ll then visit the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, home to the world’s largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. Afterward, you’ll tour the Salah El Din Citadel, a medieval fortress. Inside, you’ll see the Mohamed Ali Mosque with its unique Turkish architecture. After lunch, you’ll visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) and then explore the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar, a bustling open-air market. Finally, you will be taken back to your hotel for a restful night.

Day 13: Final Departure

After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel. An air-conditioned vehicle will then transfer you to Cairo International Airport for your flight home, bringing your unforgettable guided tour of Egypt to a close.
