Day 1: Luxor’s East Bank & Sound and Light Show

Your overnight Luxor trip from El Gouna begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel by private A.C. car. Upon arrival in Luxor, your private tour guide will greet you to start your exploration of the East Bank.

Karnak Temple Complex

Discover the immense Karnak Temple Complex. As the largest temple complex ever built by man, it showcases the combined achievements of many generations of ancient builders and pharaohs. It spans 247 acres and includes three main temples, smaller enclosed temples, and several outer temples.

Luxor Temple

Visit Luxor Temple, the central venue for the important Opet Festival. Primarily built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II, the temple served as a setting for rituals designed to reconcile the human ruler with their divine office.

Enjoy lunch on an island, which includes a delightful boat trip on the Nile. Afterward, you’ll check into a 5-star hotel to refresh yourself. In the evening, we’ll pick you up again for a special experience.

Sound and Light Show in Karnak

Experience the enchanting Sound and Light Show in Karnak. The show begins with a historical introduction to the birth of ancient Thebes and the construction of Karnak Temple. It then narrates the glorious achievements of great ancient Egyptian pharaohs, accompanied by a magnificent and poetic description of the temple’s artistic treasures and rich legacy.

You’ll spend the overnight at your 5-star hotel.

Day 2: Luxor’s West Bank

After breakfast at your hotel, your private tour guide and air-conditioned vehicle will accompany you to explore Luxor’s West Bank.

Valley of the Kings

Explore the Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to the 20th dynasties. Discover tombs, including those of the great pharaoh Ramses II and the boy pharaoh Tutankhamun. These tombs were well-stocked with goods for the afterlife, and much of their decoration remains beautifully preserved.

Hatshepsut Temple

Visit Hatshepsut Temple, one of ancient Egypt’s most beautiful and best-preserved temples. It was built on three levels with two wide ramps centrally positioned, connecting the levels.

Colossi of Memnon

See the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of King Amenhotep III. These are the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. The statues were crafted from quartzite sandstone blocks found in Cairo and transported 700 km to Luxor.

Enjoy lunch at a Nile View restaurant before we drive you back to your hotel in El Gouna, concluding your overnight Luxor trip.
