What is a Dahabiya?

A Dahabiya is a traditional Egyptian sailing yacht. These metal yachts are specifically designed for cruising the Nile, with a focus on comfortable on-deck living. Key features include a spacious sun deck, a well-sized dining and lounging area, and comfortable private cabins. A Dahabiya can accommodate 1 to 8 guests in separate cabins, each with its own private toilet and shower.

Life on Board

Life on a Dahabiya centers on relaxation and exploration. You can spend your days lounging on the deck, sunbathing, sipping a drink, or reading a novel as you sail past Egypt’s natural beauty. The cruise includes land excursions to ancient ruins, offering a deeper look into the country’s history.

Mealtimes are a highlight, with delicious local Egyptian cuisine and wonderful conversation. You can enjoy a meal under the stars with the gentle waters of the Nile lapping against the sides of the boat. For travelers who want a different view each day and are ready for a unique Egyptian cruise, a holiday on a Dahabiya is the perfect solution.
