Tour Itinerary

7-day Egypt Tour Package Itinerary

1st day: Cairo Arrival

Welcome to Egypt! You will be greeted at the airport and assisted with your formalities. Afterward, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy an overnight stay.

2nd day: Sphinx, Giza & Saqqara Pyramids

After breakfast, join your private tour guide for a visit to the Pyramids of Giza, including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the Sphinx, and the funeral temple of Cheops. Enjoy an Egyptian lunch at a countryside restaurant before heading to Saqqara to see the Step Pyramid of Djoser and other significant sites. Optionally, attend the sound and light show at Giza. In the evening, transfer to the train station for your sleeper train to Aswan, with dinner served onboard.

3rd day: Aswan Sightseeing

Wake up to breakfast on the train, then arrive in Aswan. Start your sightseeing with the High Dam, followed by the Unfinished Obelisk. Check-in for lunch on your Nile cruise, and in the afternoon, enjoy a felucca ride around Elephantine Island and sail past the Agha Khan mausoleum. Dinner is served onboard.

Day 4: Sailing to Kom Ombo & Edfu

After breakfast, relax as you sail along the Nile. Visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the gods Horus and Sobek, then take a horse carriage to the Temple of Edfu, the second-largest temple in Egypt. Enjoy lunch and dinner onboard your cruise.

5th day: Luxor Sightseeing

After breakfast, explore the West Bank of Luxor, including the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens. Visit the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Have lunch onboard the cruise before visiting the Karnak Temples and Luxor Temple in the afternoon. Dinner will be served onboard.

Day 6: Cairo Sightseeing Tours

After breakfast, transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight to Cairo. Once you arrive, start your tour at the Egyptian Museum, featuring over 120,000 artifacts, including treasures from King Tutankhamun. Enjoy lunch at a riverside restaurant, then explore Islamic Cairo—the Citadel of Saladin, the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali, and the Khan El-Khalili Bazaar. Check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Last day: Cairo – Home

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo airport for your departure, taking with you wonderful memories from your Egyptian adventure.

Amazing tour to the pyramids of Sakkara and Dahshur

This week we had a great tour with Mohamed to the pyramids of Sakkara and Dahshur as well as Memphis. He tailored the tour to our preferences, took a lot of time with us and gave us detailed background information on everything. It was also great that he never tired of taking the time to answer our many questions.

You can definitely tell that he has studied Egyptology as he has a very deep understanding of the subject and can explain everything well. He also speaks perfect English and is really good driver.

We would definitely book a tour with him again in a heartbeat and would recommend him to anyone. 🙂

Several weeks ago, I reached out to Egypt Fun Tours regarding a 9-hour layover in Cairo. From the very beginning, Hani Ahmed was responsive and professional, quickly providing a well-organized itinerary tailored to our limited time. The itinerary included a visit to the pyramids, other historical sites, a delicious dinner, and even a quick stop for souvenir shopping.

Upon arrival, Gilman efficiently assisted us in obtaining our day tourist visas (note: $25 per person in cash). She then introduced us to our guide, Mydo, who was absolutely phenomenal! Mydo’s knowledge, friendly demeanor, and ability to adjust the tour to our pace made the experience unforgettable.

We returned to the airport with plenty of time to relax before our flight. The entire experience was smooth, stress-free, and incredibly memorable.
