Day 1: Travel to Luxor and Explore the City’s Attractions

We will pick you up from your Marsa Alam hotel in a private, air-conditioned modern vehicle to take you to Luxor. Upon your arrival, your private tour guide will greet you and accompany you to Luxor’s famous historical sites, such as:

The Valley of the Kings: This site, the final resting place of Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to the 20th dynasties, contains tombs of the great pharaoh Ramses II and boy pharaoh Tutankhamun. The tombs came well-stocked with all the material goods a ruler might require in the afterlife. The majority of the decoration inside the tombs has survived beautifully.

Temple of Hatshepsut: This stands as one of the most beautiful and well-preserved temples in Ancient Egypt. Builders constructed the temple on three levels, with two wide ramps connecting them in the center.

Memnon’s Colossi:

These two massive stone statues of King Amenhotep III are the only remnants of a complete mortuary temple. Workers made the statues from blocks of quartzite sandstone found in Cairo and transported them 700 kilometers to Luxor.

Next, we’ll proceed to an island for lunch, so your tour includes a delightful boat ride on the Nile River, followed by a visit to:

Karnak Temple: Karnak is Egypt’s most impressive site. It is the world’s largest temple complex, representing the culmination of many generations of ancient builders and Pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak consists of three main temples spread across 247 acres of land.

In the evening, you will check into a 5-star hotel in Luxor for the night.

Day 2: Fly to Cairo and Explore Cairo’s Tourist Attractions

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and catch your flight to Cairo. When you arrive, your Egyptologist tour guide will greet you and accompany you to the following Cairo tourist attractions:

Pyramids of Giza Complex: This complex consists of three main pyramids, six small pyramids, the Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. Builders constructed the complex during the 4th dynasty, 2400 years ago.

The Great Pyramid of Giza: King Khufu built the Great Pyramid. It is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids on the Giza plateau, and the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World to have survived intact. The Great Pyramid stands 147 meters tall, required 2,300,000 stones for its construction, and took twenty years to complete.

Sphinx of Giza: This is the world’s largest statue, measuring 73 meters long, 19 meters wide, and 20 meters tall. It is the world’s oldest monumental sculpture.

The Valley Temple:

This stands as the only remaining granite mortuary temple Ancient Egyptians used for mummification on the Giza plateau. The Pyramids/Nile View restaurant will serve lunch. Afterward, proceed to:

The Egyptian Museum: The museum houses a rare collection of art dating back 5000 years. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are on display, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamun’s treasure, gold, and jewelry collection, which remained in his tomb for over 3,500 years.
