4-Day Egypt Group Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Aswan Legendary Attractions – Sail to Kom Ombo

  • Morning: The group will meet with their tour guide to explore Aswan’s monuments, starting with:
    • Aswan High Dam: This engineering marvel marked Egypt’s entry into the industrial age, harnessing the waters of Lake Nasser to generate electricity.
    • Unfinished Obelisk: This open-air museum piece, associated with Queen Hatshepsut (1507 – 1458 BC), showcases her ambitious plans that were interrupted during construction.
    • Philae Temple: Built in the 7th century BC, this temple was dedicated to Isis, the goddess of motherhood, featuring stunning scenes that depict the myth of Osiris.
  • Afternoon: The group will embark on their 5-star Nile Cruise for lunch and dinner, followed by an overnight stay on board.

Day 2: Edfu & Kom Ombo Tour – Sail to Luxor

  • Morning: Breakfast will be served on the Nile Cruise before heading out with the tour guide to visit:
    • Kom Ombo Temple: This unique double temple, constructed during the Ptolemaic era (180 BC – 47 BC), honors the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Haroeris, with carvings that reveal insights into the ancient Egyptian calendar and medical practices.
    • Edfu Temple: Dedicated to the falcon god Horus, this temple represents divine protection and victory. Built between 237 BC and 57 BC, it features inscriptions and carvings reflecting Hellenistic religious, mythological, and linguistic elements.
