Aswan & Abu Simbel Tours from Hurghada

For the duration of your two-day trip from Hurghada to Aswan and Abu Simbel, take advantage of a private Egyptologist tour guide. You’ll get to view some of Aswan’s most breathtaking landmarks while you’re there. After spending the day visiting the Philae Temple, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the High Dam, you will spend the night at a five-star hotel. The following day, explore one of the world’s most important historical sites, the Abu Simbel Temple, and discover more about the famed ancient Egyptian culture. After returning to Aswan, you will board a train for Luxor and then be driven to Hurghada in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Book now!

Day 1: Transfer to Aswan and Explore Aswan’s Attractions

In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in a private, modern A.C. car for your journey to Luxor. There, you’ll catch a first-class train to Aswan. Upon arrival in the Nubian country, you will meet your private Egyptologist tour guide to begin exploring Aswan’s fascinating tourist attractions, starting with:

The High Dam: Builders constructed this across the Nile at Aswan between 1960 and 1970. It has significantly impacted Egypt’s economy and culture.

The Unfinished Obelisk: This stands as the largest obelisk from ancient times. Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) ordered it to complement the Lateran Obelisk (originally from Karnak Temple). Later, they brought it to the Lateran Palace in Rome.

Philae Temple: This temple dedicated itself to the goddess Isis of Love and beauty. As part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project, workers dismantled and relocated the temple complex to nearby Agilkia Island. This effort protected it and other complexes before the Aswan High Dam’s completion in 1970.

Afterward, you’ll enjoy lunch and check into your 5-star hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Tour to Abu Simbel Temple and Return to Hurghada

Early in the morning, grab your breakfast boxes, then check out from the hotel. You’ll join your private tour guide to visit the ancient archaeological site of Abu Simbel Temple:

Abu Simbel Temples: With their unique style, the two Temples of Abu Simbel are considered masterpieces of ancient Egypt. They powerfully reflect the glory and grandeur of the New Kingdom. These two massive rock-cut temples were originally carved out of the mountainside during King Ramses II’s reign in the 13th century BC. He intended them as lasting monuments to himself and his queen Nefertari, commemorating his victory at the Battle of Kadesh.

Then, return to Aswan for lunch. Afterward, catch the train to Luxor, and finally, a car will transfer you to your hotel in Hurghada, concluding your Aswan & Abu Simbel tours from Hurghada.

Egypt Fun Tours – Does it All!

My husband and I visited Egypt in March 2013. First, let me say, ‘Go, go, go!’ – it’s safer and definitely friendlier than many places we’ve visited. Tourism is drastically down – thanks mostly to media misinformation – so it’s a great time to visit to avoid line-ups and crowds
