Discover the wonders of ancient and modern Egypt on this 3-day journey through authentic Cairo. Visit must-see sites, including the Pyramids of Giza, Saqqara, Dahshur, and Memphis, the ancient capital. Explore the Egyptian Museum and the charming streets of Islamic medieval Cairo, filled with ancient houses, madrasas, and mosques. This itinerary offers a rich blend of history, culture, and relaxation, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the vibrant spirit of Cairo!

Day 1: Pyramids Day Trip

Your journey begins with a pick-up from your hotel as we head to the magnificent Pyramids of Giza. Here, you will witness the iconic pyramids of King Cheops, King Chephren, and King Mecarinous, along with the smaller pyramids of the 4th dynasty queens, the funeral temple of King Chephren, and the enigmatic Sphinx. After exploring Giza, we will drive to the Pyramids of Sakkara, where you’ll experience the visual presentations at the site, visit the Museum of Imhotep, and marvel at the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the mastaba of Meriruka, and the Pyramid of Titi.

Next, we will drive to Dahshur to see the remarkable pyramids of King Snefru, including the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, where you can venture inside. Our tour will then continue to Memphis, an open-air museum featuring the statue of Ramses II and the Sphinx of Queen Hatshepsut. Afterward, we will stop at a local restaurant for a late lunch. At the end of the day, we will return you to your original pickup point.

Day 2: Cairo City Tour

We will pick you up for a captivating tour of Cairo, starting with the Citadel of Saladin, where you’ll explore the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, and the Gawhara Palace, and enjoy panoramic views of the city. Our next stop will be Coptic Cairo, where you can visit the first Christian church in Egypt, the oldest synagogue, the Hanging Church, and the first mosque in Egypt, Amr Ibn El-Aas.

Lunch will be served at a restaurant by the Nile, followed by a visit to the Egyptian Museum, home to over 120,000 artifacts from ancient Egypt, including the treasures of King Tutankhamun. We’ll also explore the historic area of Islamic Cairo, featuring ancient houses, complexes, schools, and streets. You’ll have some free time for shopping at the Khan El-Khalili bazaar, where you can also enjoy traditional Egyptian tea or coffee at El Fishawy café. At the end of the day, we will transfer you back to your hotel.

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, we will arrange for your transfer to Cairo Airport for your departure. Please note that this itinerary serves as a proposed outline.
