Trip Itinerary: Cairo from Sharm El Sheikh

An “Egypt Fun Tours” representative will pick you up from your hotel. You will take a first-class, air-conditioned bus to Cairo from the Sharm bus station. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred by a private, air-conditioned vehicle. A private Egyptologist guide will accompany you. Your Cairo trip will begin with a tour of the Giza Pyramids Complex.

Giza Pyramids Complex

This complex dates back to the 4th dynasty, around 2400 B.C. It includes:

  • Three main pyramids
  • Six smaller pyramids
  • Great Sphinx
  • Valley Temple

The Great Pyramid

This is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids on the Giza plateau. It is the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World. It belongs to King Khufu. The pyramid is 147 meters tall. It was built with 2,300,000 stones and took 20 years to complete.

The Great Sphinx

This is the largest statue in the world. The sphinx is 73 meters long, 19 meters wide, and 20 meters tall. It belongs to King Chephren. It is the oldest known monumental sculpture.

The Valley Temple

This is a granite mortuary temple. Ancient Egyptians used it for the mummification process. It is the only remaining one on the Giza plateau.

Lunch and Museum Visit

Lunch will be served at a restaurant with views of the Pyramids or the Nile. After lunch, you will visit the Egyptian Museum. The museum displays a rare collection of 5,000 years of art. It has over 250,000 genuine artifacts. This includes an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamun’s collection of treasure, gold, and jewelry. This collection was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years.

Return to Sharm El Sheikh

After your tour, we will transfer you to the Cairo bus station. You will take a first-class, air-conditioned bus back to Sharm. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel, ending your trip.
