Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Cairo Arrival: Meet, welcome, and assist with airport formalities. Transfer to your hotel and check-in. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 2: Sphinx, Giza & Saqqara Pyramids: After breakfast, join your private tour guide to start your visit to The pyramids of Giza (the pyramids of kings Cheops, Chephren, and Mekarynos, see the remains of the funeral temple of the same king, get inside one of the small pyramids of the Queens, and see the Sphinx). Egyptian Lunch in a countryside restaurant.

Visit The pyramids of Saqqara ( The visual presentation of Sakkara, the step pyramid of King Djoser-the very first pyramid, the museum of Imhotep, the tomb of the high official Kagemni, the pyramid of King Titi, the pyramid of King Unas, and see the pyramids of Dahshur from a distance. Attend the sound and light show at the Giza area (optional). Transfer back to the hotel and overnight.

Day 3: Aswan Sightseeing: Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Aswan. Arrive in Aswan to start your visit with your private tour guide to the High Dam (which was built in 1960 to control the annual flood of the Nile, and arrange the agriculture process).

Visit the Unfinished Obelisk (a huge obelisk dating back to the 18th dynasty that was left unfinished). Check-in on our Nile cruise for Lunch. Afternoon, take a felucca ride around Elephantine Island and sail past the Agha Khan mausoleum. Dinner on board.

Day 4: Sailing to Kom Ombo & Edfu:

Aswan/Sailing: Breakfast on board. Relax while sailing along the fertile river Nile from Aswan to Luxor with two stops to visit the unusual double temple of Kom Ombo (dedicated to two gods, the falcon god Horus, and the crocodile god Sobek). Visit by horse carriage to the temple of Edfu (dedicated to the falcon god Hours, and the second-largest temple in Egypt. Lunch and Dinner on board.

Day 5: Luxor Sightseeing: After Breakfast, start our tour to the west bank of Luxor to visit: The Valley of the Kings (home of 65 tombs of the kings of the 18th to 22nd dynasties), The Valley of the Queens (accommodates the tombs of queens from the new kingdom), and the modern-looking temple of queen Hatshepsut (she ruled over Egypt for 19 years as a king).

The colossi of Memnon (originally belonged to King Amenhotep the 3rd). Back to your cruise for Lunch. Afternoon, start our tour to visit the Karnak temples (the largest complex of temples in Egypt originally attached to Luxor temple by an avenue of sphinxes). Visit Luxor temple (which was built by the kings of the middle and the new kingdom). Dinner would be onboard your cruise ship.

Day 6: Cairo Sightseeing Tours:

After breakfast on board your cruise ship. Transfer to Luxor airport for your flight to Cairo. Arrive in Cairo, welcome, meet, and assist. Start your tour to the Egyptian museum (more than 120,000 pieces from ancient Egypt, plus the amazing collection of King Tut Ankh Amen from the 18th dynasty, and the ancient mummies). Lunch would be in a tourist restaurant by the river Nile.

Visit Islamic Cairo (the Citadel of Saladin, the alabaster mosque of Mohammed Ali, the Gawhara palace of Mohamed Ali, the mosque of Amr Ibn El-Aas the very first mosque built in Egypt. See Khan El-Khalili bazaar (where you can see the Al-Azhar mosque, and the very unique Islamic ancient streets and complex). Check-in at your hotel Overnight.

Day 7: Cairo – Home: After breakfast, transfer to Cairo airport for your final departure carrying your great memories from Egypt.

Amazing tour to the pyramids of Sakkara and Dahshur

This week we had a great tour with Mohamed to the pyramids of Sakkara and Dahshur as well as Memphis. He tailored the tour to our preferences, took a lot of time with us and gave us detailed background information on everything. It was also great that he never tired of taking the time to answer our many questions.

You can definitely tell that he has studied Egyptology as he has a very deep understanding of the subject and can explain everything well. He also speaks perfect English and is really good driver.

We would definitely book a tour with him again in a heartbeat and would recommend him to anyone. 🙂

Several weeks ago, I reached out to Egypt Fun Tours regarding a 9-hour layover in Cairo. From the very beginning, Hani Ahmed was responsive and professional, quickly providing a well-organized itinerary tailored to our limited time. The itinerary included a visit to the pyramids, other historical sites, a delicious dinner, and even a quick stop for souvenir shopping.

Upon arrival, Gilman efficiently assisted us in obtaining our day tourist visas (note: $25 per person in cash). She then introduced us to our guide, Mydo, who was absolutely phenomenal! Mydo’s knowledge, friendly demeanor, and ability to adjust the tour to our pace made the experience unforgettable.

We returned to the airport with plenty of time to relax before our flight. The entire experience was smooth, stress-free, and incredibly memorable.
