Tour Itinerary

Egypt Classic Tour Package itinerary

Day 1: Fly into Cairo and check into a five-star hotel: On day 1, an employee from “Egypt Fun Tours” will be waiting for you at the entrance gate and assist you with carrying your bags and completing the necessary passport entry procedures. After that, a private air-conditioned vehicle will take you to your hotel so you may check in.

You will start your Cairo trip in the evening with a dinner cruise on the Everlasting Nile River. After relaxing and taking in a vibrant belly dance performance with a folklore band that includes the iconic Tannoura spin in observance of Egypt’s whirling dervish heritage, you’ll go back to your hotel for the night.

Day 2: See the Egyptian Museum and the Giza Pyramids: You will have breakfast and check out of your Cairo hotel in the morning. After that, you will meet your private Egyptologist tour guide to start your Cairo, Nile cruise, and Alexandra trip. You will start by visiting the famous sites of the ancient Egyptian civilization, such as:

Egyptian Pyramids in Giza

The Giza pyramid complex, one of history’s oldest sites, contains the three great pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the Great Sphinx, Egypt’s protector, and the valley temple, which was used to carry the pharaohs to the heavens to take their proper place and preserve their legacy for all time. The complex dates back more than 4,000 years.

The Khufu Great Pyramid

As the last remaining piece of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Great Pyramid of Khufu is a part of history itself. It was built about 2580 BC, making it older than 4500 years ago, when the pyramid building was at its height. The Lincoln Cathedral in England was built in 1311 AD, making it the tallest structure in the world for 3800 years. It was built in 20 years using 2,300,000 pieces of limestone to achieve a height of 147 m (481 ft). Numerous people from all over the globe have been drawn to it by its inner intricate architecture given its size and scale.

The Great Sphinx

The Great Sphinx is the world’s oldest statue and a symbol of strength and wisdom. It is 73 meters (240 feet) tall, 19 meters (66 feet) tall, and bears the form of the sphinx, a legendary animal with a lion’s body and a man’s head, most likely King Khafre or King Chephren.

The Valley Temple

Since the Old Kingdom of Egypt, the mummification process has been carried out in the Valley Temple, a mortuary temple. It is composed completely of limestone and granite and has amazing diorite sculptures of Chephren. It is one of the best-preserved buildings from the ancient Egyptian civilization.

After eating lunch with a view of the Pyramids or the Nile, go on to visit:

The Egyptian Museum

The Egyptian Museum is a historical-artistic museum including monuments and artifacts from ancient Egypt that date back more than 4,000 years and represent a wide range of historical eras. Over 120,000 artifacts, including sculptures, jewelry, and funeral items that can only be found in Egypt, are housed on the museum’s two floors and are made of both expensive materials like gold and jewels and more common ones like wood or stone. The King Tutankhamun artifacts are the most well-known and often visited, and the museum also included a number of mummies that were on exhibit.

Transfer to the Cairo airport at the conclusion of the day to catch your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, check into your 5-star luxury Nile cruise and stay the night.

Day 3: See the Attractions in Aswan: You will have breakfast in the early morning before continuing your Cairo, Nile Cruise & Alexandria trip via all the fascinating Aswan tourist spots, beginning with:

The High Dam

The High Dam was built between 1960 and 1970 with assistance from the Moscow-based Hydro Project Institute in order to boost water storage for agriculture in its reservoir lake Nasser, produce hydroelectricity, and improve control over Nile floods. It endangered the Abu Simbel and Philae Temple when it was built, but UNESCO amazingly preserved them in the 1960s during the most difficult archaeological rescue effort in human history.

The Unfinished Obelisk

The Unfinished Obelisk, a singular structure without comparison, was built at the behest of Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC) to stand beside the Lateran Obelisk, which is now housed in the Lateran Palace in Rome, at the entrance of the Karnak temple. The obelisk was given the name “Tekhenu, which means “to pierce the sky,” was 42 meters tall, weighed 1200 tonnes, and serves as an example of how an obelisk was made. The obelisk was broken while being built, and it is still there now.

Temple of Philae

The Philea Temple is a real-life mesmerizing representation of the goddess Isis of Love and Beauty. It is well-known for displaying the “Myth of Osiris,” which states that Isis’ husband “Osiris” was killed by his brother Set out of unbridled enmity and jealousy, that Osiris was then resurrected to rule the underworld, and that Set was ultimately vanquished by Isis and Osiris Son Horus.

After the building of the Aswan High Dam and the flooding of Lake Nasser, the temple was moved in the 1960s to the island of Agilkia as part of a rescue operation organized by UNESCO.

Transfer back to the Nile cruise for lunch and sleep at the conclusion of the day.

Day 4: View the Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples: In the morning, after enjoying breakfast aboard the boat, you will go to:

Temple of Kom Ombo

With your tour guide, visit the Kom Ombo Temple, also known as “The Hill of Gold.” Between 205 BC and 180 BC, under Ptolemy V’s rule, it was built during the Greco-Roman era. Kom Ombo is renowned for its peculiar double design that is split into two similar sections “One was built for the falcon deity Horus and the other was for the crocodile god Sobek.

After lunch, return to the boat to continue cruising to:

Temple in Edfu

One of the final temples ever constructed during the Ptolemaic dynasty between 237 BC and 57 BC to serve as the official worship home of the sky deity Horus, Edfu Temple is a really unique monument. According to the Osiris Myth, the temple was built in the same spot where Set and Horus engaged in combat. The Edfu Temple’s architecture and interior are exquisite examples of how Greek and Egyptian designs can coexist.

Spend the night on board and continue sailing to Luxor.

Day 5: Luxor Nile Cruise and Monument Tour: On Day Five, savor your breakfast and disembark the Nile Cruise. Your tour guide will then join you as you board a private air-conditioned vehicle to finish your seven-day tour of all of Luxor’s tourist highlights, beginning with:

The Kings’ Valley

For the greatest kings and queens of the New Kingdom in Egypt, the Valley of the Kings served as a passageway to heaven and a ladder to the afterlife (1570-1070 BC). Given that UNESCO designated it as a World Heritage Site in 1979, it is most likely the most significant archaeological site on Earth. It has 63 tombs with innumerable enthralling items, ornaments, and the bones of pharaohs like Amenhotep I, Hatshepsut, and Ramses (I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, IX, X), and the well-known boy-king Tutankhamun.

Temple of Hatshepsut

Hatshepsut Temple, which displays the magnificent statue of one of Ancient Egypt’s most successful monarchs, Queen Hatshepsut, is the best representation of the allure and splendor of the New Kingdom (1550–1070 BC). Previously known as Djeser-Djeseru, the temple is today known as Deir El-Bahari (Holy of Holies).

It took 15 years to build and was planned in 1479 BC by Senenmut, the chancellor of Hatshepsut. The temple’s design is based on the idea of classical architecture. It has some of Egypt’s most stunning decorations and sculptures.

Memnon’s Colossi

A historic work of art called the Colossi of Memnon guards the city against danger. The colossi are two enormous stones of quartzite sandstone that are shaped like Amenhotep III and rise at a height of 18 meters (60 feet) (1386-1350). A significant earthquake that occurred in 27 BC severely destroyed the colossi, but they were reconstructed in 199 AD.

The sculptures gained notoriety during the Greco-Roman era because of the myth of The Vocal Memnon, who sang at dawn sometimes in a sobbing sound that was really only the sound of the wind blowing through the statue.

After that, as your tour involves a boat ride down the Nile River, you will have lunch on an island. Then, to conclude your excursion in Luxor, go to:

Temple of Karnak

One of the holiest archaeological sites on earth, the Karnak Temple is also one of the largest man-made structures and open-air museums in the world. The focus of religious devotion for the whole ancient Egyptian monarchy was known as Ipet-isu, which means The Most Selected Of Places, and Pr-Imn House Of Amon, for more than 4,000 years.

The whole complex was primarily devoted to the Theban triad, which included the great Osiris, Montu, Ptah, and Isis in addition to God Amun, his wife, the Goddess of Justice Mut, and their son, the Moon God Khnsou. The complex, which spans two kilometers of land, has over 25 temples and chapels as well as several sanctuaries, Obelisks, and clusters of columns that tell the epic stories of the Pharaohs.

Transfer to Cairo airport to catch a flight, then check into a 5-star hotel for the night.

Day 6: a visit to Alexandria landmarks: After breakfast, depart for Alexandria, the bride of the Mediterranean Sea, to finish your Cairo, Nile Cruise, and Alexandria trip with a private Egyptologist tour guide. Take in some of Alexandria’s main tourist sites, including:

Kom El Shoqafa’s catacombs

The Catacombs are a unique work of foreign art that can be found in Egypt since it shows how ancient Egyptian and Greco-Roman cultures came together. It was built as a necropolis in the second century AD and managed to combine creative aspects of ancient Egyptian Pharaonic design with Hellenistic and Roman culture in the most spectacular way.

Its extensive collection of Greek and Roman antiques and decorations earned it the distinction of being one of the Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages.

Return to the surface and continue your visit:

Pompey’s Pillar

Pompey’s Pillar is a magnificent pillar from the period of the Roman Empire. It is the tallest monolithic column ever constructed outside of Rome and is 28 meters high by 2.7 meters broad. On its western top side, a Greek inscription honoring Emperor Diocletian can be seen. Because the Crusaders thought, erroneously, that the renowned Roman leader Pompey’s bones were kept in a jar at the tall top of the pillar in the Middle Ages, it was given the name Pompey’s Pillar.

We’ll have lunch at a seafood restaurant before going to see:

Citadel of Qaitbay

It was built in 1477 by Sultan Al-Ashraf Saif Al-Din Qa’it Bay to house magnificent Islamic decorations in the same location that housed the magnificent lighthouse of Alexandria using stones salvaged from the destroyed lighthouse that served as the third longest surviving ancient wonder in the world until it was destroyed by a series of earthquakes between 956 AD and 1323 AD.

Qaitbey Citadel is a special castle holding the spirit of Alexandria Lighthouse.

Library in Alexandria

One of the largest and most technologically sophisticated libraries in the world, Alexandria Library honors the original Alexandrian library with a stunning design. The sixth-largest Francophone library in the world is there. In addition to having books in Arabic, English, and French, the library also has the greatest collection of French literature in North Africa and the Middle East, lovely art galleries, and some of the rarest volumes in the world.

Then, return in a private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Cairo for the night.

Day 7: Conclude Your Egypt Classic Tour Package of Cairo, Nile Cruise & Alexandria: Your last day will begin with breakfast, followed by transport to the airport so you can conclude your seven-day trip to Egypt and safely make it home.

Wonderful tour with the guide Hamada. I did not feel rushed at all, he explained a lot of facts about the city, the mosque , the water storage room, and also brought me to no hassle shops. He picked a great place to eat and have Turkish coffee and a cold lemon mint drink. We took a took took when we got tired from walking. He also happens to be a great photographer and helped take beautiful pictures. Overall a wonderful tour and great experience.
