Detailed itinerary of Luxor and Aswan Trip from Cairo for 2 Days

Day 1: a visit to Luxor’s attractions: We will pick you up from your accommodation in Cairo and fly you out to begin your two-day journey to Luxor and Aswan. Your own Egyptologist guide will meet you at the Luxor airport and accompany you while you explore the city’s tourism highlights, which include:

The Kings’ Valley

The Valley of the Kings, which contains the tombs of the great pharaoh Ramses II and the young pharaoh Tutankhamun, is the ultimate resting place of Egypt’s kings from the 18th to the 20th dynasty. The tombs were fully furnished with everything a monarch may want in the afterlife in terms of material things. The majority of the interior decorations are still in good condition.

Temple of Hatshepsut

One of the most stunning and well-preserved of all the temples built by the Ancient Egyptians is the Hatshepsut Temple. Three floors were constructed, and two large ramps in the middle connected them.

Memnon’s Colossi

The sole remnants of an entire funerary temple are two enormous stone sculptures of King Amenhotep III, known as the Colossi of Memnon. The sculptures are constructed from quartzite sandstone stones that were initially found in Cairo and transported 700 km to Luxor.

Following lunch at a restaurant with a view of the Nile in the East, you may enjoy the following with your guide:

Temple of Karnak

The Karnak temple is the most spectacular landmark in Egypt. It is the biggest complex of temples ever constructed by humans. It stands for the culmination of the work of countless pharaohs and ancient architects. Three major temples make up the Temple of Karnak, which is spread over 247 acres of land.

After your day trip, we’ll take you to the train station so you can take a first-class train to Aswan. Once you get there, we’ll take you to your 5-star hotel in Aswan so you can spend the night.

Day 2: Visit the Attractions in Aswan: Enjoy your breakfast in the morning before we pick you up from your accommodation to explore the main sights in Aswan, beginning with:

High Dam at Aswan

It was erected over the Nile River at Aswan between 1960 and 1970, and its construction had a tremendous impact on Egypt’s economy and culture.

The Unfinished Obelisk

the most enormous obelisk from antiquity. The Lateran Obelisk, which was initially at Karnak and then transported to the Lateran Palace in Rome, was ordered by Queen Hatshepsut (1508 1458 BC) to complement it.

Temple of Philae

The Philae Temple honors Goddess Isis of Love and Beauty. As part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project, experts deconstructed the temple complex and relocated it to the nearby island of Agilkia. They initiated this project to protect the temple and other complexes before the Aswan High Dam’s completion in 1970.

You will have lunch before boarding the plane for Cairo, where your adventure to Luxor and Aswan will come to a close. Note: In order to meet your demands and meet your expectations, we may add or remove any trips from your tour schedule based on your suggestions.

Alexandria! Wow!

November 7, 2024

Muhammad is the best! He showed me a world I never thought possible! The tombs in Alexandria by far was my favorite! I never knew there was a place on earth that contained both Greek and Egyptian carvings in the same tombs! The history and culture of Egypt is so fascinating! I highly recommend booking with Muhammad!

AMAZING TOUR, SOLO TRAVELER.

October 12, 2024

I am a California woman who traveled to Egypt alone and thanks to Egypt Fun Tours I had a great time. Hani, Mohammed, Kamal and David (my driver) were very professional and very knowledgeable, I appreciate how respectful they were and how protective they were with me.

They show me everything I wanted to see in Cairo and nearby places like Saqqara, Memphis, etc. Thanks to them I had a great time in Egypt, they were so so helpful than on my second day they helped me to move from my hotel in Giza to the Steigenberger hotel in downtown Cairo.

The tour price is super good includes a guide (expert in the field) a driver, lunch and drinks, they took me to amazing places for lunch, the food was super super delicious, for a foodie like me that was a highlight. We went out fo the tourist traps and I got to see the Cairo that if you are in a bus tour you will never get to see.

This tour is personalized for each person depending of what you want to see and do, I absolutely love it.

I used WhatsApp to communicate with Hani and arranged all my tours, Hani was super super nice since the moment I contacted him and explained him what I wanted to do and see.

Hani and his group mesmerized me with the tours they put together, this is a memory I will keep for lifetime.

I had only good things to say about them and I highly recommend them.

I did visit the pyramids in Giza, downtown Cairo, new Cairo, several museums, Coptic Cairo and Muslim Cairo with them and I learned a lot from them, I felt like they were family to me and it was EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT.

If I go back to Egypt I will hire them again without hesitation.

David I take my hat off for you because I have NO IDEA how you can drive in crazy Cairo, thanks to all of you for making this lady’s dream a reality.
