Day 1: Giza Pyramids & Museum Tour

An “Egypt Fun Tours” representative will greet you at the Port Said cruise exit door. Then, an air-conditioned vehicle will take you to Cairo. There, your tour begins.

Giza Pyramids Complex

The illuminating Giza Pyramids complex is a blessed land. It holds the immortal blessings of ancient Egyptian civilization, dating back more than 4500 years. These wonders include:

  • The Great Pyramid of Giza: King Khufu (2609 BC – 2584 BC) built this epic monument. It holds the treasures of ancient Egyptian Civilization. It also offers him a gateway to the gods of ancient Egypt. The pyramid is about 147 meters high. It contains 2.3 million limestone blocks. Inside, you’ll find several rooms, including the Queen’s chamber, the King’s chamber, and the grand hall.
  • The Great Sphinx: The Grand Sphinx became immortal. For over 4500 years, it has guarded the Giza Pyramids Complex. It embodies absolute power and wisdom. It has the face of King Khafre (2558 BC – 2532 BC) and the body of a giant lion.
  • The Valley Temple: This sacred historical attraction came to be in 2700 BC. Also known as the home of the Eternals, it held the mummification ritual. This purification process was performed on the kings and queens of the 4th dynasty.

Enjoy lunch at a restaurant with views of the Pyramids or the Nile. After your meal, you will visit the next attraction.

The Egyptian Museum

The magical city of Cairo is home to the immortal Egyptian Museum. Builders constructed it in 1901. It sheds light on ancient Egypt’s everlasting civilization, which dates back over 5000 years.

You will then spend the night at a 5-star hotel in Cairo.

Day 2: Alexandria Highlights Tour

After breakfast, enjoy a private tour of Alexandria. You’ll join your private Egyptologist guide for this exciting day.

  • The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa: This epic site is a unique Roman burial ground. It’s one of the seven wonders of the Middle Ages. It contains a family tomb built in the 2nd century AD. Furthermore, it showcases fine examples of Egyptian and Roman art and architecture.
  • Pompey’s Pillar: The great Pillar of Pompey has stood the test of time, enduring from 298 to 302 AD. This impressive 82-foot (25-meter) granite column honors Emperor Diocletian. Rumor suggests the pillar contains the remains of General Pompey.
  • The Citadel of Qaitbay: Builders constructed this great citadel in the 15th century. This fortress sits on the Mediterranean Sea coast. The great lighthouse of Alexandria once stood there. Sultan Al-Ashraf Qa’it Bay built it in 1477 AD. It features amazing Islamic constructions and artifacts.

Enjoy lunch at a seafood restaurant. Then, you will complete your tour with one final visit.

  • The Grand Library of Alexandria (Bibliotheca Alexandrina): This highly important landmark opened to the public in 2002. It holds a majestic collection of books, artifacts, and rare items.

Finally, we will drive you back to your cruise at Port Said for your final departure.
