The great Pillar of Pompey was able to stand the test of time to be at 298 and 302 AD. The great 82-foot (25-meter) granite column was constructed in honor of Emperor Diocletian and there is a rumor that the pillar contains the remains of General Pompey.

The great citadel of Qaitbey was constructed in a 15th-century fortress on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea coast where the great lighthouse of Alexandria once stood. It was built in 1477 AD by Sultan Al-Ashraf Qa’it Bay and is filled with the most amazing Islamic constructions and artifacts.

Finally, drive back to the cruise at Port Said for your final departure.
