Located about two kilometers from the pyramids, this museum is part of the Giza Plateau project and claims to be the largest archaeological museum in the world, spanning 117 acres. The GEM serves as a global hub for museum communication and features a kids’ museum, a training facility, and a convention center. Workshops are modeled after ancient Pharaonic locations. While stone statues will be relocated to the new museum, jewelry and King Tut‘s golden artifacts will remain in the old Cairo Museum.
