Best 9-Day Egypt Guided Tour Package Itinerary
1st day: Cairo Arrival
Upon arrival at Cairo airport, an Egypt Fun Tours representative will assist you with passport control and luggage handling. You will then be transferred by private A/C car to your hotel for check-in and an overnight stay in Cairo.
2nd day: Cairo/Alexandria
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before departing for Alexandria at 7:00 AM (a 3-hour drive). In Alexandria, visit the Montazah Palace and Gardens, the Catacombs, the Greek Amphitheatre, the Bibliotheca of Alexandria, Faros Island, and the Fort of Qaytbay (outside view). Enjoy a seafood lunch before returning to Cairo for an overnight stay.
3rd day: Pyramids Tour
After breakfast, visit the Pyramids of Giza, including the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, the Sphinx, and more. Enjoy an Egyptian lunch at a countryside restaurant. Explore the Pyramids of Saqqara and Memphis, the first capital of Egypt. Optionally, attend the sound and light show at Giza before boarding your sleeper train to Aswan, with dinner served onboard.
Day 4: Aswan Sightseeing
Breakfast is served on the sleeper train. Upon arrival in Aswan, visit the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk. Check in to your Nile cruise for lunch, followed by a Felucca ride around Elephantine Island. Dinner and overnight stay on the cruise.
5th day: Tour to Abu Simbel & Felucca
Enjoy breakfast on board your cruise. An optional early morning tour to Abu Simbel is available. After lunch on the cruise, sail towards Kom Ombo, with dinner served onboard.
Day 6: Sailing: Kom Ombo & Edfu
Breakfast is served on the cruise. Visit the Greco-Roman double temple of Kom Ombo, then take a horse carriage to the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Enjoy lunch and dinner onboard your cruise.
7th day: Luxor East-West
After breakfast, check out from the cruise and cross to the West Bank of Luxor. Visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch is on your own. Explore Luxor Temple and the Karnak temples before transferring to the railway station for your sleeper train to Cairo, with dinner served onboard.
8th day: Cairo City Tour
After breakfast, arrive at Giza Station in Cairo. Visit the Citadel of Saladin, the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, and Coptic Cairo, including the Hanging Church. Enjoy lunch before visiting the Egyptian Museum and Khan El-Khalili bazaar. Check in at your hotel for an overnight stay.
Last day: Departure
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. An Egypt Fun Tours representative will transfer you to the airport and assist you with departure formalities.
