Plan of the 8 Days Egypt Luxury Tour Package:

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Start your luxury vacation in the most elegant way possible.

When you get to Cairo airport, an employee from “Egypt Fun Tours” will be waiting for you at your arrival gate. He will help you get through passport control and find and carry your luggage. Then, you’ll take a private air-conditioned car to your 5* hotel reservation to check in. In the evening, you’ll start your luxury experience in Egypt with an amazing dinner cruise on the Nile, where you can relax and watch a colorful belly dancing show with a folklore band that includes a hypnotic Tannoura spin in the style of Egypt’s whirling dervishes. At the end of the day, you’ll go back to your hotel to sleep.

Day 2: Live in the rich history of the Pyramids

Early in the morning, you’ll have breakfast and check out of your hotel. Then, you’ll meet your private tour guide and start your legendary journey of discovery through some of the world’s most amazing historical sites, such as:

Giza Pyramids Complex:

Since they were built 4,000 years ago, the Giza pyramids have been waiting for you to come to see them. The three main pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the glorious sphinx, and the House of immortality valley temple make up the Giza complex.

The Great Pyramid:

The Great Pyramid of Khufu is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World that is still standing. It was built in 2580 BC by 100,000 free skilled workers who put together 2,300,000 pieces of limestone, each of which weighed 2.5 tons. At 147 meters (481 feet) tall, the Great Pyramid was the tallest building in the world for 3800 years. The Great Pyramid still has a lot of power to turn heads because its interior is so complicated compared to how big it is.

The Great Sphinx:

The great Sphinx has stood still for thousands of years, inspiring artists and poets from all over the world. Its age and where it came from are still a mystery. It looks like the sphinx, a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a man, who was probably King Khafre to show power and wisdom.

The Valley Temple:

The mummification process gave people eternal life at the Valley Temple. The Valley Temple was built during Egypt’s Old Kingdom (2686 2134 BC). It is one of the best-preserved archaeological sites and a great place to learn about how ancient Egyptians mummified their dead.

A fancy lunch will be served at a restaurant with a view of the Pyramids and the Nile. After that, we’ll go to:

The Egyptian Museum:

The Egyptian Museum shows the fascinating beauty of ancient Egypt. It has the world’s largest collection of rare ancient Egyptian artifacts and monuments, some of which date back more than 4,500 years. There are more than 120,000 artifacts inside the two-story building. Some are made of expensive materials like gold and gems, while others are made of more common materials like wood or stone. The artifacts are in the form of statues, funerary objects, and supplies like the treasures of Yuya and Thuya, the Narmer palette, Papyrus, and several mummies, among many others.

Then, you’ll go to the airport in Cairo to catch a flight to Aswan. When you get there, you’ll check into your luxury Nile cruise, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 3: Let the beauty of Aswan feed your soul

The third day starts in Aswan. You’ll have breakfast on the cruise and then meet up with your Egyptologist tour guide to see the sights.

High Dam in Aswan:

The only modern thing to see in Aswan is the High Dam, which was built between 1960 and 1970. The dam was built as a joint project with the Moscow-based Hydro Project Institute so that flooding from the Nile could be better controlled, hydroelectricity could be made, and the Lake Nasser reservoir could hold more water for irrigation.

The Unfinished Obelisk:

Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC) wanted the unfinished obelisk to stand at the entrance to the Karnak temple. It was called “Tekhenu,” which means “to cut through the sky.” It was very important because it showed how obelisks were made. It was 42 meters tall and 1200 tons heavy. Sadly, the obelisk was broken when it was being built, and it has stayed in the same place ever since.

Temple of Philae:

Philea Temple is the crown jewel of Aswan and the mother of ancient Egyptian mythology. On its walls is the “Myth of Osiris,” in which Osiris, the husband of Isis, is killed by his brother Set, the god of the desert of chaos, out of pure hatred and jealousy. Osiris then comes back to life and becomes the ruler of the underworld. Hours, the son of Isis and Osiris (the sky god), beats Set. This starts a time of peace, prosperity, and justice. After the Aswan High Dam was built, UNESCO led a mission to save the temple and move it to the island of Agilkia. This happened in the 1960s.

Enjoy quiet evenings under a starry sky above the Nile as you eat a delicious dinner and spend the night on the cruise.

Day 4: Go to the temples in Kom Ombo and Edfu

You’ll eat breakfast and then go to:

Kom Ombo Temple:

During the Greco-Roman period, between 205 BC and 180 BC, “The Hill of Gold” was built. The temple has a unique double design that is split into two identical parts. One part is for the crocodile god Sobek, and the other is for the falcon sky god Horus.

You will keep sailing until you reach:

Edfu temple:

During the Ptolemaic era, between 237 BC and 57 BC, Edfu Temple was built as the official place of worship for the sky falcon god Horus. It was one of the last temples to be built in ancient Egypt. According to the Osiris Myth, it is thought to have been built on the same spot where the battle between the devil god Set and Horus took place. Auguste Mariette, a French Egyptologist, discovered it in 1860 when he dug there. The Edfu Temple is beautiful on the outside and inside because it combines Greek and Egyptian styles in the best way.

You will keep sailing until you reach the city of Luxor. You will get there at night and stay on board for the night.

Day 5: Treasures of Luxor: Live out a fairy tale

After breakfast, you’ll check out your luxury cruise. Then, your tour guide and a private air-conditioned vehicle will take you to some of the best Luxor tourist spots, such as:

The Valley of the Kings:

The Valley of the Kings is like a stairway to heaven. It is where the best kings and queens of Egypt’s New Kingdom were laid to rest (1570-1070 BC). It has 63 tombs with treasures, artifacts, statues, hypnotic decorations, and the remains of pharaohs like Rameses I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, IX, and X, Amenhotep I, Hatshepsut, and the famous boy-king Tutankhamun.

Temple of Hatshepsut:

Hatshepsut Temple is a great example of beauty and style. It was called Djoser-Djeseru (Holy of Holies) and shows the grandeur of the new kingdom and the vision of Queen Hatshepsut, who was one of the most successful and powerful rulers in ancient Egypt. It was planned in 1479 BC and took 15 years to build. Its design is based on the idea of Classical Architecture because it has three levels connected by two wide ramps in the middle. It also has some of the most impressive statues, artifacts, and monuments in all of Luxor.

Enjoy lunch at a great restaurant in Luxor, and then meet up with your tour guide to finish your tour of Luxor by going to:

Memnon’s Colossi:

The Colossi of Memnon are two huge blocks of quartzite sandstone that look like Pharaoh Amenhotep III. They stand 18 m (60 ft) tall and weigh 720 tons each (1386-1350). The colossi were broken by a big earthquake in 27 BC, but they were put back together in 199 AD. During the Greco-Roman era, the statues were very well-known because of The Vocal Memnon. This was because the statues sometimes made a singing voice at dawn, which was just the sound of the wind moving through the statue.

Karnak Temple:

The Karnak temple is one of the holiest places in the world, and it is also one of the biggest religious buildings ever built. It was called Ipet-isu, which means “the most chosen place,” and Pr-Imn, which means “the house of Amon.” It is more than 4000 years old, and for more than 1500 years, it was the center of religious worship for the whole ancient Egyptian kingdom. It was mainly dedicated to the Theban triad, which was made up of God Amun, his wife, the Goddess of Justice Mut, and his son, the moon god Khnsou. Other gods like the Great Osiris, Montu, Ptah, and Isis were also worshipped there.

Finally, you’ll be driven in a private air-conditioned car to a 5-star hotel in Hurghada, where you’ll spend the night. The next day, your ultimate Egypt luxury vacation will continue.

Sixth day: Hurghada safari trips

On day six, you’ll be in Hurghada by the Red Sea. After breakfast, you’ll go on a magical super Safari adventure by Quad and have a delicious B.B.Q. dinner. After that, you’ll go back to your hotel in Hurghada for the night.

Seventh Day: Snorkeling in the Red Sea

On day seven, you’ll have breakfast and check out of your hotel in Hurghada. Then, you’ll meet your private driving instructor and start doing exciting things like snorkeling and diving. Finally, you’ll be taken to the airport so you can catch your flight to Cairo. When you get there, you’ll check into a 5-star hotel for the night.

Day 8: Your ultimate 8 days Egypt luxury Tour comes to an end.

Day trip to Wadi el Hitan and Wadi el Rayan

July 9, 2024

We went on a full day trip to Wadi el Hitan and Wadi el Rayan with Mohamed (Hamada). Mohamed was a wonderful guide, always making sure we had plenty of water and enough to eat, and providing us with information about the area and Egypt more generally. He also gave us plenty of time to explore by ourselves. We would highly recommend Egypt Fun Tours and Mohamed.
